If you've been diagnosed with fibroids and are not planning to have children, you have options.

For some patients, a minimally invasive hysterectomy can provide permanent relief by removing the uterus while preserving the ovaries, hormone function, pelvic floor support, and vaginal length. Because the uterus is removed, fibroids cannot return.

Another option is a myomectomy, which removes only the fibroids and preserves the uterus. This may be the right choice for some patients, but it's important to know that new fibroids can develop over time.
