Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound use is expanding across physical therapy, sports medicine, and orthopedic care, and clinicians need a reliable place to build skills and credentials.

The APTA MSK Ultrasound Resources page brings together POCUS Fundamentals learning, MSK certification pathways, continuing education courses, and a curated learning library in one hub.

It's built for PTs, PTAs, athletic trainers, sports medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and educators working with MSK ultrasound at any stage of practice. A new MSK Ultrasound Educator Town Hall for DPT program directors and faculty is coming soon. Explore the resources 👉 https://hubs.li/Q04tD6vj0

The POCUS HeartFocus Certification program validates a clinician's ability to perform high‑quality, AI‑enabled cardiac ultrasound through structured education, hands‑on scanning, and expert review. It gives individuals a clear path to competency and gives programs a consistent standard to certify against.

With the latest update, the HeartFocus app is now accessible on both Apple and Android and works with any ultrasound device that uses the Link add‑on, so clinicians aren't tied to a specific device and teams aren't limited by a single hardware platform.

Meet Daud, our POCUS Ambassador in Tanzania. As a Registered Nurse-Midwife with nine years in maternal-newborn care, Daud has taught obstetric ultrasound in refugee camps and rural districts across Tanzania, and now leads mobile maternal health outreach.
In the Imaging Accelerator, Daud plans to launch a mobile, solar-powered obstetric ultrasound service in rural Malinyi; handheld devices deployed to villages, midwives trained to scan and refer, and free screening for women who would otherwise travel 20 km and pay out of pocket.
