Where do you go for housing assistance? Who can answer a legal question? What if you need counseling, prenatal care, nutrition assistance, educational resources, or another service that Rockville Women’s Center doesn’t directly provide?

You may have more resources available to you than you realize.

Rockville Women’s Center works with community partners throughout the area to help connect women and families with additional services when their needs extend beyond what we provide at the Center.

You don’t necessarily need to know which organization to call first. Start by reaching out. We may be able to help point you in the right direction.

Sometimes support isn’t about getting one piece of advice. It’s about having someone who continues to show up.

Through Rockville Women’s Center’s Parenting Program, parents can receive one-on-one mentoring from the time their baby is 12 weeks old until age two. Clients meet with their mentor at least twice each month and have a curriculum available to help guide conversations and learning along the way.

Parenthood changes quickly during those first two years. New questions come up, babies enter new stages, and what worked last month may suddenly stop working. Having someone you can regularly connect with can make a meaningful difference.

Our mentoring program is free, just like all of our Parenting Program services.

Babies may be little, but the list of things they need can feel enormous. For families already managing household expenses, keeping up with baby essentials can add another layer of financial stress.

Rockville Women’s Center’s Parenting Program provides free material assistance that may include diapers, wipes, formula, food, clothing, strollers, car seats, cribs, blankets, hygiene products, diaper bags, and other necessities.

You shouldn’t have to search for every resource on your own.

One important part of Rockville Women’s Center’s Parenting Program is connecting clients with trusted community partners when their needs extend beyond the services available at the Center. Here’s something every new parent deserves to hear: you weren’t supposed to know how to do all of this automatically.

Becoming a parent involves a lot of learning. There are victories, questions, frustrating days, funny moments, and plenty of situations that make you wonder, “Is this normal?”

That’s one reason Rockville Women’s Center offers free one-on-one mentoring through our Parenting Program. Parents with babies from 12 weeks through two years old can meet with a mentor at least twice a month for ongoing encouragement, education, and support.

You’re learning your baby, and you’re also learning yourself as a parent. You don’t have to do either one alone.

You don’t have to figure all of that out by yourself.

Through Rockville Women’s Center’s Parenting Program, childbirth and breastfeeding classes are available at no cost and are provided by a medical professional in either a one-on-one or group setting. It’s an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and feel more prepared for what comes next.
