Diapers. Wipes. Formula. Clothes. Blankets. Hygiene products. And somehow that diaper bag needs to be restocked again already.

Babies may be little, but the list of things they need can feel enormous. For families already managing household expenses, keeping up with baby essentials can add another layer of financial stress.

Rockville Women’s Center’s Parenting Program provides free material assistance that may include diapers, wipes, formula, food, clothing, strollers, car seats, cribs, blankets, hygiene products, diaper bags, and other necessities.

If providing some of these essentials has become difficult for your family, please reach out. Asking for a little help during a demanding season is exactly what community support is for.

Sometimes the help you need goes beyond what one organization can provide. Maybe you need assistance with housing. Perhaps you’re looking for prenatal care, legal services, education resources, nutrition assistance, counseling, or support during a personal crisis.

You shouldn’t have to search for every resource on your own.

One important part of Rockville Women’s Center’s Parenting Program is connecting clients with trusted community partners when their needs extend beyond the services available at the Center. Our community connections can help families find additional resources for housing, legal needs, education, mental health, prenatal care, nutrition, crisis support, recovery, and more.

We may not provide every service ourselves, but we can help you determine where to turn next.

Here’s something every new parent deserves to hear: you weren’t supposed to know how to do all of this automatically.

Becoming a parent involves a lot of learning. There are victories, questions, frustrating days, funny moments, and plenty of situations that make you wonder, “Is this normal?”

That’s one reason Rockville Women’s Center offers free one-on-one mentoring through our Parenting Program. Parents with babies from 12 weeks through two years old can meet with a mentor at least twice a month for ongoing encouragement, education, and support.

You’re learning your baby, and you’re also learning yourself as a parent. You don’t have to do either one alone.

Support doesn’t always come in the form of advice or encouragement. Sometimes support looks like a box of diapers when the budget is tight, a car seat you weren’t sure how you would afford, or baby clothes when your little one seems to have outgrown everything overnight.

Practical needs matter.

Through Rockville Women’s Center’s free Parenting Program, material assistance is available to help families with many of the everyday necessities that come with caring for a baby. Depending on availability and need, assistance can include diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, food, strollers, car seats, cribs, blankets, hygiene products, diaper bags, and more.

If your family could use some extra support, we encourage you to connect with us and learn what resources may be available.

Preparing for a baby can bring a lot of questions, especially if this is your first pregnancy. What should you expect during labor? How does breastfeeding actually work? What do you need to know before the baby arrives?

You don’t have to figure all of that out by yourself.

Through Rockville Women’s Center’s Parenting Program, childbirth and breastfeeding classes are available at no cost and are provided by a medical professional in either a one-on-one or group setting. It’s an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and feel more prepared for what comes next.

If you’re expecting a baby and would like additional support as you prepare for parenthood, reach out to learn more about our free Parenting Program.

You don’t have to have all the answers today.

Finding out you’re pregnant when you weren’t expecting it can bring a lot of questions all at once. What happens next? How will this affect my plans? Who should I tell? What decision am I going to make?

When your mind is racing ahead, it can feel like you need to figure out your entire future immediately. You don’t.

In our latest blog, “You Don’t Have to Have All the Answers Today,” we’re talking about giving yourself permission to slow down, gather reliable information, ask questions, and focus on the next step instead of trying to solve everything at once.

You deserve the space to understand your situation and consider what matters to you without feeling rushed or pressured.
