So today, weā€™re celebrating a very special kind of bossā€”the ones who spent decades making the decisions, raising families, building careers, caring for others, and keeping everyone on track. ā¤ļø

Now it might be time for someone else to help with a few of those decisions.

One of the things we love about memory care is helping families find the balance between providing support and preserving independence. Our residents have spent a lifetime being in charge of their own lives, and we believe their individuality, preferences, and choices should continue to matter.

We loved having Laura from Centric Hospice spend some time with our residents for a fun afternoon of cards, conversation, and plenty of smiles. šŸ˜Š

Sometimes itā€™s the simplest activities that create the best momentsā€”sitting around a table, playing a familiar game, sharing a few laughs, and enjoying each otherā€™s company.

Some visitors just have a special way of making everyone smile!

We were so happy to welcome Barbara and Trapper from Canines for Christ to Colonial Oaks! šŸ¶

Trapper was our special pet-therapy visitor, and he certainly knew how to brighten the room. There were plenty of smiles, gentle pets, sweet moments, and lots of love shared during his visit. šŸ„°

Thereā€™s just something about the unconditional love of a dog that can bring comfort, connection, and joyā€”and Trapper did exactly that!

A big thank-you to Barbara and Trapper for spending time with our residents and bringing so much happiness to our community. ā¤ļøšŸ¾
