This sweet, little man worked so hard over the last few years, corrected so many sound errors and today he was dismissed!! 👏🏼 You can hear how great he sounds in the video & when I asked if he was so happy to be done, he replied with “kinda” and told me he was going to miss coming! 19 months & doing his first & middle name puzzle independently 🧩 👏🏼 Letter puzzles are great to model letter names & each sound they make. Other picture puzzles are great to build vocabulary by naming pictures & their category, describing the pictures & where you might find them (pig on farm, boat in water, zebra at the zoo etc). You can also practice taking turns doing puzzles with your kids alternating who puts a piece in, and your child can practice following directions (find the dog, put the blue one in, turn it around etc). Not only do puzzles build language skills, they can help strengthen fine motor skills, problem solving skills, visual spatial skills and help build persistence! Fun shaped food cutters could help make meal time more fun & exciting for picky eaters. You can let your child pick the shape they like & get creative with what foods you could cut to make them more enticing for your kiddos to try.
