As a mother, I don’t have the option of giving up. I have three precious children here on earth who still need me. They need me to be present, to love them well, and to provide the safest, most normal space I can for their little hearts as they grieve the loss of their sister.

The truth is, if Rachael had been my only child, I honestly believe I would have crawled into a hole and never come out. The pain of losing a child is beyond words. It changes every part of you.

We recently kept our family’s annual beach tradition, even though our sweet RayRay wasn’t there with us. I was so hesitant to go because I was certain I would spend the entire trip crying and wouldn’t be able to enjoy a single moment. It was incredibly hard, and there was an emptiness that followed us everywhere. But somehow, by God’s grace, I found the strength to push through and be as present as I could for my family. It wasn’t the same, and it never will be, but we faced it together.

When we pulled into our driveway after returning home, we were greeted by the brightest, most beautiful rainbow stretching across the sky. In my heart, it felt like a little God wink—as if He was gently reminding me that He is with us, and that our sweet girl is safe in His arms.

Since Rachael went to Heaven less than two months ago, we’ve seen 14 rainbows in so many different places. Before this, I might have noticed only two or three in an entire year. Fourteen in less than two months feels far too extraordinary for me to ignore. Whether others see them as coincidence or not, they have brought comfort to my grieving heart, and I choose to see them as reminders of God’s promises, His presence, and the hope we have in Christ.

I wanted to share each of the rainbows we’ve been blessed to capture. They have become little reminders that even in the darkest storms, God’s faithfulness still shines through.

I hope these little glimpses of beauty bring someone else a bit of hope today. 🌈❤️

I have been unable to pull myself together enough to post on social media. Truthfully, I am barely able to function at all. The hurt and pain of losing my baby is more than unbearable. Every organ, every nerve, and every fiber of my being feels shattered—and even that seems like an understatement. There simply are no words strong enough to describe the devastation of losing a child.

A mother’s love for her children is unmatched and unwavering. There is nothing a mother wouldn’t do to protect her babies. I spend every second of every day thinking about and missing my sweet girl. The silence she left behind is deafening, and I feel completely paralyzed by grief.

Every day I pray that God will give me the strength to make it through another day because I cannot do this without Him. This kind of pain requires a strength that no human being possesses on their own. I am no longer the person I was before. Losing RayRay has forever changed my heart, my perspective, and the way I see this world.

If there is one thing this unimaginable loss has taught me, it is that family is everything. Never take the people you love for granted. Take the family trips. Put down your phone. Hug your children a little tighter. Kiss them goodnight. Tell them you love them every chance you get. Find patience when they’re testing your limits, and choose joy even in the ordinary, chaotic moments. Those moments are the ones you will treasure most.

As the 2026 school year approaches, be grateful for every child who gets the opportunity to walk into another classroom, move up to the next grade, complain about homework, play sports, make friends, and keep you running from one activity to the next. Even when those days leave you exhausted, they are a gift.

My RayRay only got to experience a few precious days of a normal Pre-K classroom before she was diagnosed with cancer. She never got the chance to experience a normal childhood or the milestones that so many families get to celebrate. That reality breaks my heart every single day.

Please don’t wait for a tragedy to remind you what matters most. Love your family fiercely. Make the memories. Be present. Tomorrow is never promised.

Ray of Faith Foundation would like to express our deep appreciation to Johnny McDuffie . Johnny has donated 50 bibles to RayRay's ministry. This means so much to me. RayRay's ministry will continue to do all that she was doing and even more. I know she is jumping for joy knowing nanny will be hard at work. There will be that void because she was so active in helping Nanny pray over our packages before they were sent. She would say, Nanny you pray, I'll close my eyes. It’s been 2 weeks since the day she closed her eyes for the final time. I believe its just getting harder. Im thankful for Johnny Mcduffie because it gives me hope, that her foundation will not be forgotten. I love you all, please keep praying for this Nanny heart!
