Sometimes you have to think outside of the box. Preparing Vera for the fly spray has worked. Look at her holding so still while Adam holds the lead rope!

Look who turned two! ( yes he is still with us, and that's ok.) I was rushing to lead him out to the arena and tripped (dork) fell and he just hopped back with a huh? What are you doing down there, Mom? Then he was so good for his trim, maybe a couple of wiggles, but I couldn't ask for a better try. Maybe he is starting to grow some out of that baby brain! W***y had his first trim we believe ever! It's been a long road with this little guy and his feet, but our farrier is always game to try and see where these wild ones are at. It wasn't perfect and we barley got started on the last one and he was over it. You never want to get your farrier hurt, so we all called it and just made sure he could pick up the back foot, and then Adam went around and picked them all up. Always end on a good note. We know what to work on to get the whole job done.

Vera, the lead rope and fly spray. She was so good for the left side, but when I tried to go to the right, she blocked me. In the end, I had Adam come hold her.

Working with b***os, you need to look for signs of them shutting down. Tail wagging, feet stomping means they are aggravated and you just can't push them anymore. Here is an example of Vera shutting down. Also a bit of Junebug being jealous.
