π UNDERAGE DRINKING: THE RISKS ARE REAL. π
Teens face many pressures as they grow up, but alcohol should never be part of the equation. β€οΈ
π« Underage drinking is not harmless. Alcohol can affect a teenβs developing brain, decision-making, memory, and judgment. It can also increase the risk of injuries, accidents, and other unsafe situations.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Parents and caregivers can make a difference!
β
Talk openly with your teens about alcohol.
β
Set clear expectations and boundaries.
β
Help teens practice ways to say no to peer pressure.
β
Encourage healthy activities and positive friendships.
β
Remind teens they can always call a trusted adult for help getting home safely.
π¬ Start the conversation before there is a problem. The messages teens hear from parents, caregivers, schools, and their community matter.
Together, we can help our youth make healthy choices and build a safer, stronger community!
