Ready for flu season? 🍂 Now’s a good time to get your vaccines on the calendar. Flu, COVID-19 and RSV vaccines each have different timing recommendations. Here’s when to get each one:

Flu: September or October is the best time to get vaccinated for the fall flu season, but it’s still a good idea to get your vaccine later in the season. The vaccine takes about two weeks to become fully effective.

COVID-19: The COVID-19 vaccine was recently updated, and with the respiratory season upon us, receiving this vaccine now will provide the best protection (assuming you received the older vaccine more than three months ago). Additional doses may be recommended based on age, vaccination history and immune status. When additional updates to the vaccine happen, immunization is recommended ASAP, but no sooner than three months after your last COVID-19 vaccine.

RSV: Eligible adults should get the RSV vaccine between August and October, or any time of year. You do not need to get an RSV vaccine every year.

Rural health challenges require local solutions and strong partnerships! We're proud to join Heartland Whole Health Institute and partners across Arkansas in the Rural Health Transformation Program, working to create healthier communities and improve access to care where it's needed most.

Big news for rural health in Arkansas.

Heartland Whole Health Institute is proud to convene six Arkansas health care organizations through Heartland Whole Health Connect, a new rural health initiative supported through $8.4 million from Arkansas' Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).

Together with Mercy, Community Clinic, Boston Mountain Rural Health Center, North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, St. Bernards Healthcare, and Arkansas CPESN, we’ll work to expand access to primary and preventive care, strengthen chronic disease management, increase telehealth and remote care, and advance whole-person care closer to home.

We’re excited for what this investment makes possible for Arkansas and what we can learn together to help shape the future of rural health across the country.

It’s Environmental Services Week, and we couldn’t let the week go by without recognizing our incredible EVS team.

They work behind the scenes, often without much recognition, but their impact is felt throughout every hallway, room and department. They help create a safe and welcoming environment for our patients, families and caregivers, and they do it with dedication, teamwork and heart.

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend. Stay safe, and stay cool! This heat can quickly leave you feeling sick. If you need us, our Convenient Care clinic will be open Monday September 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

All other Mercy Rolla Primary Care and Specialty Care clinics will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day. These clinics will resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8 a.m.

After several months of renovations, our outpatient surgical center is once again ready to care for our patients.

This renovation means we can continue investing in the future of health care in Rolla while we ensure our patients receive high-quality surgical care close to home.

As we started work on this back in December, we knew patients needed more access to key surgical procedures like general surgery and GI. And we knew they wanted to have those procedures in Rolla when possible.

We're happy to share that the renovated surgical center is ready to meet that patient demand, and in just a few short weeks since officially re-opening, we've cared for more than 40 patients.

While we are proud of these beautiful new spaces, what truly brings them to life are the people who work within them.

Every day, surgeons, anesthesia teams, nurses, technicians and support staff come together to provide expert care, comfort and healing for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Thank you to our caregivers, leaders and community members who joined us for this celebratory moment.

Happy Friday! Most of our clinics are closed for the holiday weekend, but our Mercy Convenient Care is open for normal business hours today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and tomorrow (July 4) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

With the holiday weekend quickly approaching, we wanted to share our holiday hours.

Our Rolla primary and specialty care clinics will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day and will reopen Monday, July 6, at 8 a.m.

But, because we know aches, sprains and minor injuries don't take the holiday off, our Rolla Convenient Care will be open normal business hours on July 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and July 4 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our retail pharmacy will also be open Friday, July 3 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
