North River Pediatrics North River Pediatrics is a privately owned clinic serving Douglas County, Oregon. We accept all major insurance plans as well as Medicaid/Oregon Health Plan.

A native of Douglas County, Dr. Beth Gallant has been the physician at North River Pediatrics since January 1st, 2016. Our clinic sees patients ranging from newborns to adolescents.

What's on my mind? TICKS! Yikes, these little creepy crawlers are out in FORCE! Make sure you are doing your due diligence in prevention, because likely you'll still come home with them.

Anytime you are outdoors, I'd recommend a good tick check head to toes before you or your kids go to bed. Cue that song about checking for ticks.

Acute care after a tick bite includes removal of the tick, washing the bite area with soap and water and applying antibacterial ointment.

Thereafter, monitor for fever, rash or flu-like symptoms and call for an appointment should these symptoms present within the 30 days following the bite (most likely to occur within 2 weeks but best to stay vigilant).

Happy Administrative Professionals Day Misty!!! It’s an easy task to think of all the ways you make North River Pediatrics a better place - there are so many! From the moment people walk through the door, you make sure they feel welcome and important. I don’t know of any other office where people stop by just to say Hi and chit chat with the front office person or call to let you know they’ve been thinking of you. You brighten people’s day and are always positive and hopeful. Thank you for sharing your jazzy energy with our office. I can’t imagine doing this without you. 🩷
