We hear a lot of the same questions from families considering ABA therapy, so we're answering a few here.

How long does it take to see progress? It varies by child, but families often notice small changes within the first few months.

Will my child always need therapy? Many children build skills that reduce their need for support over time.

What if my child has never been evaluated? That's completely normal, and it's exactly where most families begin.

As schedules shift with the season, toddlers often benefit from a little extra structure. Earlier sunsets, cooler weather, and new routines can throw off sleep and daily rhythms, but small adjustments can ease the transition.

Keeping consistent wake and bedtime windows and building in outdoor time earlier in the day both help smooth the shift.

Our team helps families adjust routines season by season, so development stays on track even as daily life changes.

Starting ABA therapy begins with a conversation, not a commitment. Your first consultation gives our team a chance to hear about your child, your concerns, and your goals, while you get a feel for how we work.

From there, we typically move into an evaluation, gathering more detail on your child's strengths and needs. This informs an individualized plan built around your family, not a one-size-fits-all program.

We know reaching out can feel like a big step. Our team is here to make it a manageable one.

Setbacks during toilet training are common, and they don't mean the process has failed. Regression after illness, travel, or a big life change is expected, and usually temporary with a return to consistent routines.

If accidents continue past what feels typical, or your child shows anxiety around using the toilet, individualized support can help identify what's getting in the way.

Our team works with families through these exact moments, offering practical strategies that fit your child's needs.

Social skills, like sharing, taking turns, and reading facial expressions, develop gradually and often need gentle guidance along the way. Simple, structured play, like turn-taking games, gives toddlers low-pressure practice with these skills.

Modeling the behavior yourself and offering praise for small successes both help reinforce what your child is learning.

For children who need more support, our team builds social skill practice directly into therapy sessions, using activities your child already enjoys.

Mealtime and daily transitions, like leaving the park or switching from playtime to bath time, can be some of the trickiest moments in a day. A little predictability goes a long way: consistent timing, simple warnings before a change, and a calm tone.

Visual schedules or a short countdown routine can help toddlers feel more prepared for what's coming next.

Our team helps families build these small, practical strategies into routines that already exist.

👉Reach out if transitions feel especially tough in your home.

Communication is one of the most common goals families bring to ABA therapy, and it takes many forms beyond spoken words, including gestures, picture cards, and assistive devices. Our team meets each child where they are and builds from there.

Sessions focus on functional communication, like requesting a favorite toy, expressing a need, or greeting a familiar face, using consistent, evidence-based strategies practiced across settings.

Over time, these small, repeated opportunities help children build a communication toolkit they can rely on well beyond the therapy room.
