We’re kicking off a brand‑new campaign celebrating the many meaningful partnerships that help strengthen wellness across DuPage County — and we’re starting with a powerhouse collaborator: NuPAGE Communities!

We actively support the Prevention Leadership Team, the Reality Teen and Ambassador programs, and serve on key Behavioral Health Collaborative committees, including Crisis, Youth Mental Health, and the Executive Committee. We also collaborate with DCHD on major initiatives like the Crisis Recovery Center and grant‑funded projects that expand behavioral health services countywide.”

Fingers crossed ....for a great 4th of July!

For a year now, our incredible volunteers have been hitting the pavement across Downers Grove Township, collecting signatures to put a 708 Community Mental Health Board on the ballot.

The feedback from neighbors has been absolutely overwhelming. Time and again, when we ask for a signature, people stop to share deeply personal stories about how they or someone they love has been impacted by mental health challenges. It is a powerful reminder of how deeply our community cares for one another.

Establishing a 708 Board will ensure dedicated, local funding for essential mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services. As the last township in DuPage County to take this step, we have a massive opportunity to create a lasting positive impact right here at home.

We are in the home stretch, but the work is not done yet.
Help Us Collect Signatures: We will be out at local community events through July 18. If you have some time to spare, grab a clipboard and join us.
Sign the petition: drop by the Downers Grove Township Democrats' office to sign if you haven't already.
Spread the Word: Talk to your neighbors about why this matters.
Vote YES: Mark your calendar to vote YES this coming November.
