Our winners for June are Rachel S. And Derek B. Call the office at (651) 423-2900 to claim your prize! Way to go all who answered correctly!

This month’s correct answer was that a chiropractor needs to pass 5 national board exams in order to practice in Minnesota. Although nationally, chiropractors are only required to pass the 4 core board exams, most other states (including Minnesota) require chiropractors to take a 5th physiotherapy board in order to practice.

Boards:
Part 1: Basic sciences and anatomy
Part 2: Diagnosis, Radiology, and Chiropractic Principles
Part 3: Case studies and case management
Part 4: Clinical Practicums
Physiotherapy: Active and passive care modalities

Other chiropractors may take more national board exams for certain reasons. For example, Dr. Derek had to take an additional 6th national board exam for acupuncture in order for him to be able to provide that service to our amazing patients.

Truth: Chiropractors work with the entire body, from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. Chiropractors work primarily with the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. This encompasses all joints in the body: ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, wrists, etc. Chiropractors also have many techniques to address muscular issues as well.
