It's National Stuttering Awareness Week.
Let me say something that might be unpopular.
(Or maybe it's obvious - but sadly out of style.)

Concerned parents deserve real support.

Not dismissal. Not "just wait and see." Not "he'll grow out of it." And not "your child will always stutter - learn to live with it."

Both responses leave parents stranded. The research backs this up. Sitting on real concerns without guidance from a qualified professional costs kids time, confidence, and opportunity they don't get back.

Here's what most people miss: you need someone who knows stuttering and knows the age. Not every professional does. Find one who does - and you walk away with clarity, direction, and a real way forward.

Parents: you deserve someone who listens to you - as much as your kids.

If someone says "stop worrying, it will be fine" - don't stop there.
If someone says "your child will always stutter, just accept it" - don't stop there either.

Get better guidance. You can do more than you think. 🦁

Join Stand Up For Stuttering and Granite Bay Speech for a fun and meaningful community event in honor of stuttering and cluttering awareness!

Granite Bay Speech (1899 Roseville Pkwy #100, Roseville, CA 95661)

This event is open to people of all ages—individuals who stutter or clutter, family members, and anyone interested in learning more are all welcome! Come enjoy a morning filled with snacks, beverages, bubbles, face painting, interactive educational resources, and more. It’s a great opportunity to have fun, meet incredible individuals, and connect with your community.

We are also excited to share more about Stand Up 4 Stuttering (SU4S), a volunteer-led organization dedicated to spreading awareness about stuttering and cluttering. SU4S offers a supportive space to connect with others who share your passion through no-cost meetings held both online and in person.
