Meet Gladys!
Ask her about being a miracle baby!
Gladys is a piano player extraordinaire. She started playing the piano when she was five years old and is still playing at EagleCrest for chapel services and Friday lunch entertainment.
A claim to fame Gladys has is that she met Lucille Ball at a girl scout meeting. Gladys immediately noticed Lucille's bright red hair and that her lipstick was not put on very well. Incidentally, Gladys and Lucille attended the same high school in Jamestown NY, Lucille being ten years ahead of her.
Gladys met her husband at Bethel and they had their first date on a hayride there. Eventually, they were a family of 8, affectionately called "the G clef family" because each of their names begins with the letter G. Because of her large family, Gladys was busy at home doing 24 loads of laundry weekly and baking 8 loaves of bread and two batches of cookies every week. She was also active in the churches her husband pastored.
Gladys' favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 33:3; ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Thank you, Gladys for serving at EagleCrest!
