Confession: Sometimes I forget what podcast is playing as I pull into the Starbucks drive-thru before work.

Today? It was “Sex with Emily” discussing why the missionary position isn’t boring… right as I rolled down my window to order my coffee. 😂

The barista definitely heard it. We both laughed.

Occupational hazard of being a therapist who specializes in couples and s*x therapy. 🤷‍♀️

Also… if you haven’t tried an iced coffee with banana cold cream foam, this is your sign. Get a little adventurous. 😉

And yes—that Starbucks is on the way to my office, so feel free to treat yourself before or after your appointment. ☕💛 *xtherapy ❤️

Tiny joys aren't about pretending life is perfect or ignoring what's hard.
They're about giving your mind and body moments of nourishment alongside the challenges.
Because healing isn't just reducing stress—it's also increasing our capacity to experience peace, joy, and presence.

When we repeatedly push emotions down, they don't disappear. They often show up in other ways:

• Muscle tension
• Irritability
• Anxiety
• Emotional numbness
• Feeling disconnected from yourself or others

Giving yourself permission to feel doesn't mean you're losing control—it may actually be your body's way of finding it again.

✨ Not every tear needs fixing. Sometimes it just needs space.
