Ever notice that some hats seem incredibly flattering, while others aren't?
Most people think it's the hat itself.
In reality, hats change how light and shadow interact with the face. That can affect eye visibility, brow visibility, and how facial balance is perceived in photos.
It's one of the reasons two nearly identical photos can look completely different.
Sometimes it's not what you're wearing.
It's what the light is doing.
