🎒📚 Back-to-school can bring more than just excitement—it can bring a little anxiety, too.
New teachers, new classrooms, new routines, and the pressure to adjust can feel overwhelming for kids (and parents!). The good news is that a little preparation and plenty of support can make the transition easier.
Here are a few ways to help your child manage back-to-school anxiety:
💬 Talk it out — Encourage your child to share their worries and let them know their feelings are normal.
🗓️ Get back into a routine — Start adjusting bedtime and morning routines before school begins.
🎒 Prepare together — Packing backpacks, picking out clothes, and getting supplies ready can help kids feel more confident.
❤️ Focus on the positives — Talk about friends, activities, and things they can look forward to.
🧘 Make time to relax — Encourage healthy ways to manage stress, including exercise, quiet time, and plenty of sleep.
