ππ TIPS & TRICKS TUESDAY: PICKY EATERS! πβ¨
Does mealtime sometimes feel like a battle? Youβre not alone! π Many children have strong preferences when it comes to food, textures, colors, and smells. Trying new foods can take time, and thatβs okay!
Here are a few tips to make mealtimes a little easier! π
π½οΈ 1. Start Small!
Offer a tiny piece of a new food alongside something your child already enjoys. No need to fill the whole plate!
π₯ 2. Make Food Fun!
Try arranging foods into silly faces, using fun plates, or letting your child help prepare a snack.
π 3. Explore Without Pressure!
Smelling, touching, or looking at a new food can be a step toward trying it. Celebrate curiosity, even if they donβt take a bite!
π 4. Keep Offering Favorites, Too!
Include familiar foods your child feels comfortable eating while introducing something new.
β 5. Celebrate the Little Wins!
Every step counts! Sitting near a new food, touching it, or taking a tiny taste can be progress worth celebrating.
Remember, the goal isn't to make every plate empty. It's to help your child build a more comfortable, positive relationship with foodβone little step at a time! π
