“Why is my newborn covered in soft, fuzzy hair?”

Many parents are surprised to notice a fine layer of hair on their newborn’s shoulders, back, ears, or forehead.

This soft hair is called lanugo, and in most cases, it's a completely normal part of a baby's development.

For some babies, it disappears before birth. For others, it may still be visible for a few weeks or months after they arrive.

The amazing thing about newborns is that they're constantly changing, growing, and adapting during those first precious months.

Sometimes what seems unusual is actually a normal part of the journey.

Did your baby have lanugo when they were born?

Bedwetting can be frustrating for children and parents alike.

Many children who wet the bed aren't being lazy, stubborn, or careless. In fact, bedwetting is a common part of childhood development and often happens for reasons beyond a child's control.

What children need most isn't punishment or embarrassment—they need patience, encouragement, and support.

Simple strategies, healthy routines, and understanding the possible causes can help families navigate this stage with more confidence and less stress.

Remember: children outgrow bedwetting at different ages, and progress often takes time.

Has your family ever dealt with bedwetting challenges? What advice would you give another parent going through it?

When a newborn seems uncomfortable, every little symptom can feel like a big worry.

Did you know that dehydration can sometimes contribute to constipation in newborns?

Because babies are so small, even minor changes in feeding, fluid intake, or bowel habits can affect how their little bodies function.

Parents may notice:
▪️ Fewer wet diapers
▪️ Hard or infrequent stools
▪️ Fussiness during bowel movements
▪️ Signs of discomfort

Understanding the connection between hydration and digestion can help parents recognize when their baby may need extra attention or support.

Sometimes the clues are small, but paying attention to them can make a big difference 🫶

Some conversations are difficult… but protecting children means we cannot avoid them

Child sexual abuse affects far more children and families than many people realize, and awareness plays an important role in prevention, protection, and early support.

Teaching children about:
▪️ body safety
▪️ trusted adults
▪️ healthy boundaries
▪️ safe communication
can help create safer environments for them as they grow.

Children should always feel safe speaking up without fear, shame, or blame

And when a child shows signs of distress, behavioral changes, fear, withdrawal, or unusual reactions, listening carefully and responding supportively matters deeply.

Protecting children starts with informed, attentive, and supportive adults.

Nobody truly prepares new moms for the exhaustion.

The sleepless nights.
The constant feeding.
The mental overload.
The feeling of being tired even after resting.

Sleep deprivation during early motherhood can affect emotions, focus, stress levels, and overall well-being more than many people expect.

And while caring for a newborn is beautiful, it can also feel physically and emotionally overwhelming at times.

Small things like accepting help, resting when possible, sharing responsibilities, and giving yourself grace can make a difference

Because exhausted moms deserve support too,not pressure to “do it all.”

Childhood should be filled with safety, learning, healthy meals, and opportunities to grow

But for many families, poverty affects daily realities in ways people may not always see.

It can impact:
▪️ Access to healthcare
▪️ Nutrition
▪️ Stable housing
▪️ Education
▪️ Emotional well-being
▪️ Overall child development

Behind every statistic is a real child, a real parent, and real struggles families work through every single day.

Supporting children means looking beyond physical health alone, because every child deserves the chance to thrive regardless of their circumstances 🫶
