Sent a text two hours ago. No response.
Your brain: "They hate me. I said something wrong. They're never talking to me again."
That's rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD). And if you have ADHD, you probably know it well.
It's not just being sensitive. It's a tidal wave of emotional pain over perceived rejection. Your brain interprets neutral things as rejection. And it feels physical.
New blog: what RSD is, why ADHD brains experience it, and what helps when you're stuck in the spiral.

Got diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s.
Suddenly my whole life made sense.
All those times I was called lazy. The jobs I couldn't keep. The friendships that faded. The constant feeling everyone else had a manual I never got.

It wasn't a character flaw. It was ADHD.

Late diagnosis is relief and grief all at once. You finally have an answer, but you're also mourning the years you spent thinking you were the problem.

New blog: making sense of late diagnosis and what comes next.

You can't focus because you're anxious.
You're anxious because you can't focus.
You forgot something important, so now you're spiraling.
You're spiraling, so you can't remember what you were supposed to do.
If you have both ADHD and anxiety, you know this cycle intimately. And it's exhausting.

Here's what makes it so complicated: ADHD and anxiety FEED each other.
ADHD makes you anxious:
- Forgetting deadlines creates panic
- Struggling to start tasks = worry about falling behind
- Time blindness = chronic lateness anxiety

Anxiety makes ADHD worse:
- Stress hormones impair executive function
- Worry becomes mental clutter
- Overthinking drains focus

New blog post: How ADHD and anxiety overlap, why they make each other worse, and what actually helps when you're dealing with both (because you need strategies for BOTH, not just one).

Because you're not broken. You're just complex.

You interrupted them mid-sentence again.
That thing you said you'd do three days ago? Still not done.
And now they're hurt. Or convinced you don't care.

You DO care. You just have ADHD.

ADHD shows up in relationships in ways that have nothing to do with love. Forgetting isn't the same as not caring. Interrupting isn't disrespect. Your brain just works differently.

New blog: how ADHD affects relationships and communication strategies that actually help.

"Just set a timer."
"Leave earlier."
"Manage your time better."
Cool. If any of that worked for my ADHD brain, I'd already be doing it.

Time blindness is real. For ADHD brains, time is either NOW or NOT NOW. That's it. No in-between.

This is why you think something will take 10 minutes and it takes an hour. Why you get hyperfocused and lose three hours. Why you're always running late even when you're trying.

New blog: what time blindness actually is and strategies that work for ADHD brains.

ADHD isn't just about focus.

It's about emotions that hit you like a freight train.
Going from calm to furious in seconds.
Small frustrations that feel enormous.

Getting stuck in a feeling and not being able to shift out of it.
That's not you being "too sensitive" or "dramatic." That's emotional dysregulation, and it's a core part of ADHD that no one talks about enough.
With ADHD, your brain processes emotions differently:

- You feel everything more intensely
- You have a harder time calming down once you're upset
- You struggle to pause between feeling and reacting
- Positive AND negative emotions can feel overwhelming

New blog post: Why ADHD affects emotional regulation, what it looks like in daily life, and strategies that actually help when feelings feel too big.
Because you're not broken. Your brain just works differently.

What if they get upset? What if they think I'm selfish? What if they don't like me anymore?

This is what runs through your head every time you try to set a boundary.

So you say yes when you mean no. You overextend yourself. You accommodate everyone else's needs while yours go unmet.
And the resentment builds.

Here's the truth: boundaries aren't mean. They're not selfish. They're how you take care of yourself without burning out.
New blog post: How to set boundaries without drowning in guilt—even when it feels impossible. Including:
✨ Why boundaries feel so hard (especially right now)
✨ How to set them clearly and kindly
✨ What to do when people push back
✨ Why guilt doesn't mean you did something wrong
Because you're allowed to protect your peace. Even if it disappoints someone else.

You look like you have it all together.

You meet every deadline. You show up for everyone. You excel at work. You keep all the plates spinning.

But inside? You're exhausted. Your mind never stops. You can't remember the last time you felt calm.

This is high-functioning anxiety—and it's one of the hardest forms of anxiety to recognize because you're still "doing fine."

Except you're not fine. You're running on fumes.

New blog post: I'm breaking down what high-functioning anxiety actually looks like, why rest feels impossible, and what actually helps (beyond just "trying harder").

Because you deserve more than just functioning. You deserve to feel calm in your own life.

Real talk: When was the last time your self-care actually restored you?
Not just felt nice in the moment. Actually helped you function better, feel less depleted, and show up for your life.
Because here's what the wellness industry won't tell you: self-care isn't always bubble baths and face masks.
Sometimes it's:

Going to bed on time instead of doomscrolling
Saying no when you're already stretched thin
Finally making that therapy appointment
Asking for help even when it's uncomfortable

New blog post: I'm breaking down the 4 types of self-care you actually need (and how to build practices that stick when you're exhausted).
Because you deserve more than pretty Instagram quotes. You deserve care that actually works.

When was the last time you felt truly grounded?
Not just "fine." Not just functioning. Actually calm in your body.
If you can't remember, you're not alone.
Grounding techniques can help bring you back to the present when anxiety has you spiraling—but here's the thing: not every technique works for every person.
New blog post: I'm sharing grounding tools my clients actually use (and when to reach for each one):
🌿 Connecting with nature (the most underrated)
🧊 The ice cube trick for panic
🫁 Box breathing you can do anywhere
💭 Creating distance from anxious thoughts
🏃 Movement that completes the stress cycle
Find what works for YOU.
