Your throwing arm needs recovery (not compression!)
If youโre a pitcher, quarterback, golfer, tennis player, or any athlete who depends on your shoulder and arm, the way you sleep matters.
A lot of athletes spend all night sleeping directly on the same arm they need to perform with the next day. That means hours of pressure on the shoulder, restricted blood flow, compressed tissue, and irritated nerves.
Then they wake up tight, sore, stiff, or โjust not loose,โ and wonder why.
Your body heals when you sleep, but only if you give it room to heal.
Protect the arm you throw with.
Support your body.
Stop crushing the tissue youโre asking to perform.
Small changes in sleep posture can make a big difference in how your body feels, recovers, and moves.
