You don't have to wait until you're two steps from dying to finally ask for help.
I know for many people, asking for help seems taboo.
We've been taught to be strong, tough it out, and figure it out on our own.
What has this brought us? Generations of therapy and learning how to cope with the stressors we face in life that doesn't include drugs or alcohol to numb the pain.
I'm am one of those who doesn't like to ask for help, I will admit it.
No matter what kind of challenges you face as a mom, parent, or friend, family member, or a member of society, you don't have to wait until your breaking point to reach out and ask for help.
You can ask for help even when you feel superb.
You can ask for help even if you got a full night's sleep.
You can ask for help even if you are feeling accomplished.
And anywhere in-between, you can ask for help.
The point isn't to recharge and then dwindle ourselves down to nothing again. The point is to stay charged!
Love yourself first and the rest will fall into place.
You can only be your best when you are fully charged and that means everyone else will get your best as well.
So don't wait to be completely depleted of your charge to finally plug yourself in and ask for help.
We all know you can are an incredible human being; you have nothing to prove to anyone.
So get charged and stay charged.
