🕷️🕸️ Well, well, well… look who’s crawled into The Oaks! 👀💜

Meet Sid the Spider! 🕷️ Our newest (and slightly creepy) little helper has officially taken over the lobby, and he’s on a mission to collect CANDY! 🍬🎃

We’re gearing up for the City of Rowlett’s Trunk-or-Treat, and Sid needs YOUR help filling his belly with sweet treats!

🍭 Want to help Sid with his spooky little mission? Candy donations are welcome and can be dropped off right in his belly during your next visit to The Oaks!

Last year, we ran out of candy WAY too fast, and Sid is determined not to let that happen again! 😂🕷️

100% of candy donations will go toward the City of Rowlett’s Trunk-or-Treat event!

🌶️🏆 Well… we didn’t bring home the trophy this year, BUT we definitely brought home full bellies! 😂
Yesterday we had such a great time at the Chili Cook-Off! We sampled a crazy amount of chili, ate WAY more than we probably should have 🤭, and the desserts were absolutely outstanding!
A huge THANK YOU to our very own Miss Gloria for representing The Oaks at Liberty Grove with her delicious chili and ooey gooey butter cake! 👩‍🍳🤍 We are so thankful she participated and shared her cooking with everyone!
We may not have taken home the win this time, but we had an absolute blast!
We’ll get ’em next year! 😉🌶️🏆

🌶️🔥 The Oaks is bringing the HEAT! 🔥🌶️

We are so excited to announce that our very own Chef Gloria has officially entered the Ebby Halliday Rockwall Annual Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️ And because one competition apparently wasn’t enough… she’s also entered the Dessert Competition with her Ooey Gooey Butter Cake! 🤤🍰

Chef Gloria will be holding down the kitchen at The Oaks, so our Executive Director, Centhia Andrew & our Activities Director, Susan Dudley will be there representing Chef Gloria and The Oaks at Liberty Grove! 🤍

The competition is tomorrow, October 6th, from 11 AM–1 PM at 408 S. Goliad St. in Rockwall, benefiting Meals on Wheels!

We’re going for the win in BOTH categories! 🏆🌶️🍰
