Brand of the day: Persol

Created in 1917 in Turin, Italy by engineer and aviator Giuseppe Ratti. The brand got its start producing technically advanced goggles for pilots and sports car drivers.

In the 1930s Persol patented the world’s first flexible temple known as the Melfecto system allowing the glasses to adapt to any face shape. It was during this decade the brand would take on its name after Rattis first pair of sunglasses that defined the brands unmistakable functional character. Persol translates to “for the sun”
