Skywood Outpatient

Skywood Outpatient We have a new name: Skywood Outpatient. We provide integrated treatment and recovery. Skywood Outpatient is proud to be a member of Foundations Recovery Network.

With three separate locations in Royal Oak, Lansing, and Grand Rapids, We provide integrated treatment and recovery support targeted specifically to individuals with co-occurring addiction and mental health concerns, drawing both Michiganders and those from across the country. At Skywood Outpatient, we seek to meet people right where they are, creating a plan to help them move forward in health. F

rom free confidential assessments and physician-directed medication management to a diverse schedule of therapies, integrated educational sessions and holistic approaches, everything we do is based on a continuum of care. Employing Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, EMDR, and other proven methods, we walk with patients using a stages-of-change approach. Specialty groups offer nutrition and wellness education, family sessions and supportive therapy for trauma, grief, loss and anger management, allowing patients to customize their care to address their unique needs. The caring staff at Skywood Outpatient foster a compassionate and restorative environment that includes a yoga room, a patient lounge with games, snacks, and coffee, and access to on-site recovery meetings. As patients gain knowledge about the addiction process and themselves, they are empowered to live a life of long-term recovery and become the people they were always meant to be. Physicians are on the medical staff of Skywood Outpatient, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Skywood Outpatient. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians. Model representations of real patients are shown. We are unable to provide medical advice through social media. Please contact your physician, or in case of emergency, call 911 or the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 988. We’re incredibly thankful for our amazing partners just up the road at Pasadena Villa Great Lakes! 💙

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming their National Director of Business Development, Kelly Stone, and CEO, Blaire Zielke, for a tour of Skywood Recovery.

It was a wonderful day filled with connection, collaboration and shared commitment to providing exceptional care for those we serve. Opportunities like this remind us how powerful partnerships can be in strengthening our community.

We look forward to continuing to grow together and support one another in this important work!

⚠️ Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's harmless.

Kratom is often marketed as a natural supplement, but many people are unaware of its potential risks. Regular use can lead to dependence, withdrawal symptoms and addiction, leaving individuals feeling trapped and unsure where to turn.

If you or someone you love is struggling with kratom use, know that you are not alone—and recovery is possible. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness; it's a sign of strength. You don't have to fight this battle by yourself.

⚠️ Just because it's sold in stores doesn't mean it's safe.

7-OH (7-Hydroxymitragynine), a potent compound found in some kratom products, has been linked to dependence, withdrawal symptoms and addiction. Many people assume that if a product is legal or available over the counter, it must be harmless—but that's not always the case.

If you or someone you love is struggling with 7-OH or kratom use, know that you are not alone and help is available. Recovery is possible, and seeking support is a sign of strength.

June is Men's Health Month—a reminder that taking care of your health includes both your physical and emotional well-being.

Too often, men are encouraged to "tough it out" or suffer in silence. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness—it is a sign of strength. Prioritizing mental health, addressing substance use concerns and building healthy connections are essential steps toward lasting wellness and recovery.

At Skywood Recovery, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and supporting men on their journey toward healing, hope and lifelong recovery.

This month, we encourage men everywhere to check in with themselves, reach out for support and make their health a priority.

Ready to take the first step? Visit https://bit.ly/4eyZ4Ou to learn more about our programs and how we can help you or a loved one begin the journey to healing and recovery.

This month and every month, we stand with the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our dedication to hope, recovery and belonging for all.

Tip Tuesday 🐾

Meet Jack—his *blep* skills are on point!

You’ll often find him at Skywood Outpatient in Royal Oak. Jack’s caregiver, Kim, is also a therapist at Skywood and sees firsthand the positive impact animals have on clients in early recovery.

Being around animals can lower stress, build trust, improve emotional regulation and create a sense of safety. Even watching animal videos can have a calming effect!

Take a moment today to practice mindfulness with your pet—they’re experts at staying present! 🐶
