North Star Reach brought the magic of camp to Corewell Health Children's in Royal Oak last week!

Their OutReach team partnered with our child life team to transform the Children's Garden into an immersive five-day camp experience. Activities included archery, fishing, crafts and more.

A leukemia diagnosis changed everything for this brave 5-year-old and his family.

What followed was a journey filled with challenges, courage, and hope, supported by the compassionate care team at Corewell Health Children's.

Today, he's thriving, and his family is sharing their story as a reminder of what is possible when a community comes together for kids.

Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen is this Thursday, July 30!🍦

For every Blizzard® Treat sold at over 80 participating locations in Southeast Michigan, $1 or more will be donated to Corewell Health Children’s through Children's Miracle Network.

This day will help to provide critical funding for life-saving treatments and essential services for the over 300,000 kids treated with us. Your support helps ensure that every child receives the care they deserve.

Dr. Hassan Bokaie was drawn to pediatric gastroenterology by the diversity of cases he gets to manage, from acute situations like foreign body ingestion to chronic conditions like inflammatory bowel disease.

What he loves most goes beyond the medicine. "Kids are so fun to work with," Dr. Bokaie said. "Knowing the impact you will have on the rest of their life is the best part."

He chose to work at Corewell Health Children's because of the support and resources available to help him provide the standard of care he believes children deserve.

"Everything is going very well here. I'm looking forward to more years to come!"

When he's not caring for patients, you can find Dr. Bokaie spending time with his wife and kids or playing sports when time allows.

Spending a holiday in the hospital is something no kid looks forward to.

Last Fourth of July, Katelyn from Macomb found herself watching fireworks from a hospital window instead of being outside with friends. It was a tough moment — one that made her realize just how isolating a hospital stay can feel.

But instead of leaving that experience behind, she turned it into something meaningful.

After receiving incredible care, Katelyn decided to give back. With the help of her friends and family, she raised enough funds to purchase $2,500 worth of toys, games, blankets, and activities for patients.

She hopes this donation can help kids find moments of comfort and distraction during their hospital stay, especially during times when they might feel most alone.

Katelyn reunited with her doctor, Dr. Mouhib Ayas, and made our Children's Miracle Network Garden look like Christmas morning.

Corewell Health Foundation Southeast Michigan's annual Feldman Automotive Children’s Miracle Celebrity Invitational raised more than $1.3 million yesterday!⛳

Funds will benefit Corewell Health Children's and the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation to support exceptional pediatric care initiatives in southeast Michigan as well as youth services and enrichment programs across the United States.
