We are excited to kick off Water Week 2026 from July 20th–July 23rd!

Our clients will have the opportunity to participate in game stations, an inflatable water slide, pools, and other fun activities throughout the week. Please send your child prepared each day with a swimsuit/trunks, towel, sunscreen, bug spray, extra clothes, slip-on shoes, a hat, sunglasses, and a water bottle.

With temperatures expected to be in the 90s, we will have coolers available with drinks to help keep everyone hydrated throughout the day.

We are looking forward to a fun week filled with learning, play, and making memories during Water Week!

✨ Shining Star is now accepting pediatric counseling waitlist referrals! ✨

We're continuing to add children and teens ages 5-18 to our counseling waitlist, and we're already contacting families to schedule appointments as openings become available.

Counseling services are provided by Kelsi Ard, MS, LAPC, who creates a safe, welcoming space where children and teens can express themselves, explore their emotions, and build healthy coping skills through play, art, games, and conversation.

We are proud to have Shining Star Therapy Services as a member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce and thank them for their commitment to strengthening our community through compassionate care and for helping local children shine brighter every day!

What an amazing turnout for our Touch-A-Truck event! Last Thursday was such a special opportunity for our clients to interact with emergency service workers and public works employees in a fun, safe, and hands-on environment. Our clients had the best time exploring the vehicles, engaging with the equipment, and spending time with so many incredible community helpers.

We truly cannot say thank you enough to every department, employee, and volunteer who took time out of their busy schedules to come spend the day with our clients. Your kindness, patience, and willingness to engage with our children meant more than words can express. The smiles, excitement, and memories made last week were absolutely priceless, and we are so thankful for the support our community continues to show our clients and families.

🚨 WE HAVE BEEN RAINED OUT! TOUCH-A-TRUCK POSTPONED! 🚨

Due to weather conditions, our Touch-A-Truck event showcasing emergency service heroes has been postponed to May 14th.

We are excited to share that emergency vehicles and public works vehicles will now be joining together, making this an even larger and more exciting event!
