Freddie Dale Boren

Freddie Dale Boren, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, was born on May 24, 1937, in Burkburnett, Texas. He passed away on September 18, 2026, in Hondo, New Mexico, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication that will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends.

Dale's professional journey began as a warehouseman, where he honed his skills in the plumbing trade before being promoted to sales and then management. In 1983, he proudly established his own plumbing business in El Paso, Texas, where his hard work and tenacity led to a successful and fulfilling career.

A man of simple pleasures, Dale found joy in the beauty of nature, often spending his time outdoors tending to his beloved vegetable gardens and the flourishing fruit trees he planted-many of which continue to grow and thrive. His passion extended to various hobbies, particularly shooting and crafting his own bullets, all of which he enjoyed with a spirit of enthusiasm and creativity.

Dale took great pride in his family, as evidenced by the close bonds he cultivated with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (Paul) Brooks, son Kelly (Ulla) Boren, daughter Karen (David) Russell. His legacy continues with his grandchildren-James Veale, Kara Harper, Brandon Paul Brooks Sr., Lynne Brooks, Wyatt Boren, Alina Boren, and Anika Boren-as well great-grandchildren Jackson Veale, Caden Veale, Kennedy Veale, Brandon Brooks Jr., Jospeh Brooks, Ethan Brooks, Jacob Brooks, Chase Palacio, Cameron Palacio, Kimberly Palacio, Santiago Hernandez, Theodore Rex Hernandez, Boaz Harper, Ava Harper, Nolan Harper, Annabelle Harper, Emma Harper, and Everly Harper who will also cherish his memory.

Dale's life was defined by his faith and the love he shared with those around him. Prior to his passing he expressed his belief, saying, "My heavenly Father watches over me." His unwavering dedication and gentle spirit will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A celebration of Dale's life will take place at 11:00 AM on October 10, 2026, at Tinnie Baptist Church.

Dale Boren lived a life rich in love, laughter, and connection, and his spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.

Bringing food after a death is a tradition found in many communities and cultures, and its purpose is both practical and meaningful.

During a time of grief, everyday tasks like grocery shopping and preparing meals can feel overwhelming. Bringing a meal is one simple way friends, neighbors and extended family can step in and care for those who are grieving, without asking them to plan, prepare or host.

Over time, different regions and cultures have developed their own funeral food traditions, from casseroles and baked goods to dishes that have been passed down through generations.

At its heart, the tradition carries a very simple message: You have enough to worry about. Let us take care of this.

Leonidez Ybarra Romero

Known to most as “Leo” or “Loney”, Leonidez Romero was born December 18, 1944 in San Patricio, New Mexico. The son of Sigesfredo Romero and Lucia Ybarra Romero, he was one of nine siblings. He had children, Joseph Duran, Myra Romero, and Travis Romero. He shared his most recent years with his spouse, Kiley Smith, and daughter, Kelcey Smith.

Throughout his life, Leo was a dedicated, hardworking, and resourceful man. He enjoyed many of his years working at the Ruidoso Downs Race Track and later dedicated many years at Pillow’s Funtrackers. He was also known for owning and operating his own firewood business serving locals and visitors to all of Lincoln County. He was also quite the “wheeler and dealer” – always looking to strike a deal.

Leo passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, in the comfort of his own home in Capitan, NM.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings, along with many friends and loved ones who will continue to cherish his memory. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Sigesfredo and Lucia Romero, his son Joseph Duran, siblings, and many loved ones before him.

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, a rosary will be held at 9:30am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 227 W. Third Street Capitan, New Mexico.

Halee Jean Williams

A Celebration of life service for Halee Jean Williams will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Mescalero Baptist Mission Church, 1016 Old Road, Mescalero, New Mexico, 88340, Sunday, September 27, 2026, with Pastor Delvon Chee officiating following the morning service at 10:30 a.m. We invite all who were touched by Halee's light to join in celebrating her beautiful life.

Halee Jean Williams, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, left this world unexpectedly on September 12, 2026, just two days shy of her 21st birthday. Halee, a vibrant young woman from Mescalero, New Mexico touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her infectious smile and boundless compassion.

Halee was born on September 14, 2005, and from a young age, she exhibited a love for life that was truly remarkable. She found joy in simple pleasure reading, spending time outdoors, and playing sports. Her love for the color purple and her fascination with butterflies were expressions of her vibrant spirit. Halee's warmth and kindness extended to all those around her. As she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse, she was dedicated to serving others with the same love and compassion that she radiated.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Juanita Jim, Tom Castillo, Edward Chee of Pueblo Pintado, New Mexico and Gregory Yahnahki and Rebecca Evans of Mescalero, New Mexico as well as her uncle Casey Kidd from Brownfield, TX.

Halee is survived by her loving Parents Cheryl Chee Cervantes of Mescalero, New Mexico and Justin Williams of Brownfield, TX; her Siblings, Jade Stewart, Jacoby Cervantes, and Baby Jared all of Mescalero, New Mexico; Her cherished Grandparents, Grandma Reba and Papa Roger Chee of Mescalero, New Mexico; Grammy Jennifer Kidd and Papa Shawn Reid of Brownfield, TX; Tracy, Wife Rhonda Kidd of Brownfield, TX; Aunts and Uncles; Amanda (Eric) Johnson of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Dexter (Neah) Chee, Delvon (Joy) Chee, and Dominic Chee all of Mescalero, New Mexico, Kelly Reed of Brownfield, TX; Cousins; Marlee, Kaya , Bash (Taylor) Chino, Kei’Mani, Truce, Nizhoni, Jariah, Sharyn, Chayton, Addie, Andre, Auralia, Jacob Von Kaiser, Greyson Kidd; and many other extended Family and friends that loved her Dearly.

Carolyn Estell Harris Cade

Carolyn Estell Harris Cade, born March 5, 1953, passed away on September 15, 2026. She lived with deep faith, joyful purpose, and a wholehearted love for people, leaving behind a legacy shaped by service, teaching, friendship, and family.

Carolyn attended Sul Ross State University, where she majored in business and was heavily involved in the Baptist Student Union. Her passion was teaching, and that calling carried through much of her life. She taught high school business and typing in Van Horn, Texas, and helped start North Loop Christian Academy in El Paso, Texas. Over the years, she served in many roles, substitute teaching for a number of years before returning to North Loop Christian Academy, where she worked as a teacher, assistant principal, librarian, and then principal. Later, she started a tutoring business and worked with students at Immanuel Christian. She also found great joy in occasionally teaching Sunday school classes. She loved books and library administration and especially enjoyed working, organizing, and creating school libraries.

From an early age, Carolyn embraced life with energy and delight. As a young girl, she loved playing cowboy and wagon trains, and she eventually married a cowboy who took her all over the United States. In her youth, she sang in the Ysleta Baptist youth choir and participated in several choir tours. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing any place and any time.

She was known for her boisterous laugh, her gentle kindness, and the way she supported people without judgment. Carolyn was resilient and adventurous, never looking back, only forward and ready for the next adventure. She often said, “bloom where you are planted,” and she truly did, making friends everywhere she went and loving people exactly as they were.

Her life was filled with simple and lasting joys. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she counted them as her greatest joy, often saying that having children and grandchildren was a life well lived. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, working puzzles, playing games, making crafts, and cooking and baking for those she loved. She was especially well known for her famous truffles. She also faithfully served on the women’s mission team at church and was heavily involved in Operation Christmas Child.

Above all, Carolyn lived her life on a mission for Jesus, wanting everyone to know His love and find salvation in Him. She never hesitated to share the gospel. In her final months, after a doctor told her to make a bucket list, she laughed and said, “I have done everything I want to do in my life.” She had no regrets and was anxiously looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face. Everywhere she went, she shared that she was not afraid of death because her eternity was secure in her salvation.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Roy Cade; daughter in law, Brooke Cade; daughter, Emilie Kennedy; son in law, Shay Kennedy; grandsons. Jaxon, Colson, and Brady; granddaughters; Sophia, Willow and Hannah (coming soon),; sisters, Sandra Harris, and Laura Eilert; brother in law, John Eilert; Uncle Earl and Aunt Charlotte Harris and their children Dell Harris and partner Pam, and son Chris Harris and wife Rebecca and their children and grandchildren; cousins, Lou Ann, Gretchen, Jamie, Bill, and many more; Aunt Dorris Harris, her son Philip Harris and wife Susan and their children and grandchildren, her daughter Debra Howell and husband Doug and daughter Nicole; Uncle Don Harris and his daughters, Leslie Hardaway, Heather Rattan, Stephanie Fleming and their spouses and children. friends, Alma Villarreal, Angela Martinez, Janice Denmark, Karen Resling, Beth Jones (best childhood friend), and many many more.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Neal Harris Jr. and Mary Ann Caldwell Harris; a stillborn brother, her baby, Uncle Edwin Harris, Aunt Gladys Harris, Uncle Joseph Caldwell, Aunt Louise Caldwell Jones, Uncle Jack Caldwell, Aunt Jeanett Caldwell Bodeewes, and many friends along the way.

Carolyn’s life was one of faith, courage, warmth, and unwavering love. She will be remembered for the lives she shaped in classrooms, in church, in friendship, and most especially within her family. Her example of joyful service and steadfast belief will continue to encourage all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00PM Friday, September 25, 2026, at First Baptist Church Ruidoso with Pastor Dr. Todd Sullens officiating.

Elaine Debbie Beltran

Elaine Debbie Beltran, born on June 12, 1964, passed away on September 16, 2026.

Elaine will be remembered as a very beautiful and generous woman with a big heart, someone whose presence brought warmth and kindness to the lives of those around her. She found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments, especially in cooking, growing flowers, and taking family trips. Those who knew her will also remember the happiness she found in watching Caitlin Clark and the WNBA, a favorite pastime that brought her great enjoyment.

Among the blessings of her life, Elaine’s proudest accomplishment was her three grandchildren. They were a deep source of love and pride, and her connection to them was a meaningful part of her life. Elaine took great pride in her work serving as the finance director for the Village of Ruidoso for many years before retiring as an accountant for the State of New Mexico.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Salvador Beltran; son, Dino Beltran; grandchildren, Jonathan (age 14), Jayden (age 9), and Julie (age 6); brother, Miguel Lujan; and numerous other friends and family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gorgonio and Donna Lujan, and her brother, Paul Lujan.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at St. Eleanor Catholic Church with the viewing and rosary at 10:30 AM and mass at 11:00. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Pallbearers are Dino Beltran, Jonathan Beltran, Jayden Beltran, Joshua Ramirez, Jackie Romero, and Miguel Lujan

Elaine’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind the example of generosity, beauty, and a heart open to others, and she will be dearly missed.
