We were out and about with Sam and Dale and decided to go to Quarry Park. It was a beautiful day with a cool breeze on the top of the lake overlook. We really enjoyed being outside in the sunshine without being too hot!

We are SO grateful for this incredible gift! What a joy it is to collaborate with good people for a wonderful cause!

Today, we had the blessing of presenting $23,600 from our Greek Festival admissions proceeds to our Festival partner charity, Horizons Residential Care.
It has been an honor, a privilege, and a blessing to work alongside Horizons this year. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and for the loving service they provide to God’s people. It is our prayer that this contribution will support and strengthen their mission as they continue their important ministry to those entrusted to their care.

We are incredibly grateful to "Weeds and Seeds Garden Club" who recently held a fundraising event and sent us a check for $2,250! We really do appreciate it and will use it to provide extraordinary opportunities for our residents!

This week we celebrated Jackie's birthday. As "cake!" is one of her favorite words, you can imagine that she enjoyed her day - she also got a new bear, McDonalds for lunch and best of all a visit from family - Happy Birthday Jackie!

We have been meaning to announce that we made over $1,000 at our little fundraising night at Brouwerij DuBois - Our Cup Runneth Over event to benefit Horizons We are most grateful to the folks at BD and to all who came out to support us - it was a lot of fun!

Last week we held our final meeting of our Board of Directors and presented an award to Jim DeBauche who has served as board chair since 2024. Instead of an engraved crystal plaque to thank him for his devoted service to Horizons, we gave him a unique pottery vase that was handmade by one of the individuals with special needs at The Enrichment Center. He got quite emotional when he saw it!

This past weekend some of our residents participated in the 3rd Annual Blooming Together Intergenerational Arts Festival - a celebration of intergenerational creativity, at the Intergenerational Center for Arts & Wellness and they had a great time!

This morning, we were visited by Andrew Bowman who is the son of one of our long time volunteers, Beth Bowman, who is currently serving on the board for a third term! Andrew brought with him a 3D printer to donate! He also spent several hours teaching Shardee, our Day Program Specialist, how to use it to make all sorts of nifty things. We will be able to utilize it to create adaptive items for our residents that are customized to fit their individual needs. We are very excited and grateful to this fine young man for his generous gift and wish him well in the future - we're guessing he has a successful future in IT/engineering ahead of him!
