Today feels a little less sparkly. 💔✨

Dolly Parton gave the world a lifetime of music, laughter, kindness, and joy. Her songs became the soundtrack to so many lives, including those of generations of residents throughout The Waters.

We’ve sung along to her music, danced to her songs, dressed up in her honor, shared stories about her, and made more than a few wonderful memories along the way.

Today, as we look back on one of those fun-filled Dolly days at The Waters, these photos feel just a little more special. 🤍

Dolly, thank you for the music. Thank you for the laughter. Thank you for the generosity, the rhinestones, the big hair, the bigger heart, and all the joy you shared with the world.

Today we say goodbye, but we also celebrate one incredible life and a legacy that will live on for generations.

Rest in peace, Dolly. 🦋✨

Did you know we have a vegetable garden at The Waters of Rushville? 🍅🥕🥬

For the past three years, our Garden Club, alongside our Activity Director, Jacqi, has been growing a beautiful harvest of fresh vegetables. Residents help plan what to plant, start seeds, water, w**d, and care for the garden while sharing stories and memories of gardens they’ve grown over the years.

One of the best parts is enjoying the harvest together! We use our fresh-picked vegetables during our Let’s Bake activities to make healthy, homemade snacks. Today’s menu featured one of our favorites—fresh cucumber salad made with cucumbers straight from our garden. 🥒
