We had this Bible donated to us. While we love accepting them, we do not have adequate space for them. We have copied all of the information for our family files and would love to reunite this family heirloom with its family. If you can connect yourself to this family and pay shipping, it's yours. If you're local, come by the office to claim it by proving your connection.

We are very grateful to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels for helping us obtain a ScanPro 3500 microfilm reader, tower and monitor for the office. This equipment will allow us access to Logan County records on microfilm. This matters when we are open on Saturday or during special overnight events. THANK YOU so very much for supporting what we do.

We've been keeping another secret, but the cat's out of the bag now.

The American Association for State and Local History recently announced that Judy Lyne is a recipient of its 2026 Individual Lifetime Achievement Award of Excellence, recognizing more than four decades of leadership, service, and dedication to preserving and sharing Logan County’s history.

The honor places Judy among a select group of individuals and organizations recognized nationally for outstanding contributions to the preservation and interpretation of history. This year, AASLH is conferring 42 awards honoring people, projects, exhibits, and publications from across the United States.

For the full story, see tomorrow's issue, June 18, of the News-Democrat and Leader.

In the meantime, CONGRATULATIONS, Judy! You deserve it.
