He and Hillary Stone educated our Senior Circle Members on our endoscopy department’s services, referral process, and everything important for seniors to know regarding colorectal cancer screenings and diagnostics.

Northern Louisiana Medical Center Clears Condition-Level Deficiencies, Removed from 90-Day Termination Track

RUSTON, La. — Northern Louisiana Medical Center has received official notification that all condition-level deficiencies identified through the recent regulatory survey process have been cleared and that the hospital is no longer on the 90-day termination track.

The notification marks a significant milestone following months of intensive corrective action, staff education, infrastructure improvements, and strengthened quality-monitoring processes across the hospital.

“This is an incredibly important day for Northern Louisiana Medical Center, and the credit belongs to our people,” said NLMC Interim CEO Arnie Young. "Our physicians, nurses, department leaders and employees embraced an extraordinary amount of change while continuing to care for our patients every day. What this team has accomplished in such a short period of time deserves tremendous recognition.”

Since the initial survey findings, NLMC has implemented corrective actions throughout the organization, strengthened quality oversight and accountability, completed infrastructure and equipment improvements, and expanded education and monitoring processes designed to support sustained compliance.

While the regulatory milestone is significant, hospital leadership emphasized that the work of continuous quality improvement does not end here.

“Clearing these condition-level deficiencies was an important goal, but it was never our only goal,” Young said. “Our responsibility is to make sure the improvements we’ve made become part of how we operate every day. We will continue holding ourselves accountable, listening to our employees and our community, and working to earn their trust through consistent action.”

Northern Louisiana Medical Center remains focused on strengthening patient care, supporting its employees and physicians, and rebuilding relationships throughout Lincoln Parish and the surrounding communities.

“We have said from the beginning that trust is earned through transparency, accountability and action,” Young said. “Today represents meaningful progress, but it is also the beginning of what comes next.
