There's something fitting about a holiday that asks us to sit with the spooky, the sentimental, and the silly all at once, because that's honestly a lot like life itself.

Tonight, as the porch lights go on and the little witches and superheroes make their rounds, we're thinking of all the families we've had the privilege of serving — and the memories that keep loved ones close, even the ones who aren't trick-or-treating with us anymore.

Many of the families we serve come to us after weeks or months spent alongside a hospice or palliative care team. Those caregivers bring gentle hands and a steady presence during the transition. Their care shapes how we remember a loved one's final days, with comfort and dignity at the center.

Today, we're grateful for the hospice and palliative care professionals in our communities, and we remember the loved ones they comforted along the way. Thank you for walking with families through some of life's most tender days.
