Post-Conference Workshop Success!

Gila River Health Care’s Post-Conference Workshop, hosted by Dr. Navaz Dolasa, was a success! We had great conversations focused on creating opportunities for Native American youth to explore, pursue, and build careers in healthcare. 🧡💙

We’re proud to celebrate our Gila River Health Care Life Center Team, who were selected to showcase their work through the Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) Poster Session at the 2026 National Tribal Health Conference! 🩺📊

The Life Center team, including Dr. Roopa, along with the Genesis Program, Wellness Center, and Tribal Partners, came together to highlight the impact of their work and share their success with Tribal leaders and health professionals from across Indian Country.

Another exciting day for the Gila River Health Care team! 💙🧡

Yesterday our Behavioral Health Services and Elev8 teams took the stage and presented two breakout sessions, sharing knowledge, resources, and meaningful conversations focused on strengthening Tribal health and creating opportunities for our communities.

We also shared a groundbreaking announcement at the NIHB Trade Show: Gila River Health Care’s partnership with the University of Arizona to launch the nation’s first MD-granting medical school branch on Tribal Land! 🎓🩺
This historic partnership marks an exciting new chapter for healthcare education, workforce development, and the future of Tribal health.
