Our Reflections Memory Care BBQ was filled with everything that matters most—time together, meaningful connections, and moments of joy. Seeing residents and their loved ones gathered around the table, enjoying music and sharing stories, made for a truly special afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We are grateful to be part of these memories and honored to celebrate alongside our Golden Pond families.

At Golden Pond’s Reflections Memory Care, our approach is simple: we focus on the person, not the diagnosis. ❤️

When someone is living with dementia, they may not remember facts, but they always remember how we make them feel. That’s why our team uses gentle redirection, validation, compassion, and meaningful engagement every day to help residents feel safe, loved, respected, and secure.

Whether it’s taking a walk together, looking through family photos, helping with a simple task, or simply sitting and listening, we strive to meet each resident where they are and provide comfort during moments of confusion or anxiety.

These are some of the same techniques our caregivers use every day to support our residents through memory loss and sundowning behaviors while preserving dignity and enhancing quality of life.

☘️ The dining room was feeling extra lucky today at Golden Pond.

Our residents enjoyed a classic corned beef and cabbage lunch, festive green accessories, and lots of good conversation around the table. It’s always fun seeing everyone get into the spirit of the day.

Just another nice afternoon together here at Golden Pond. 💚

We are so grateful for our wonderful partners at American River Healthcare for spending the afternoon with our Reflections Memory Care residents! 💛

Their team regularly brings such joy, energy, and meaningful connection to our community, and this week’s mocktail social was no exception. Moments like these remind us how special it is to work alongside partners who truly care about the seniors we serve.

American River Healthcare provides hospice, home health, in-home care, and visiting provider services, and we are thankful for the compassionate support they bring not only to Golden Pond, but to families throughout our community.
