So this was 38….. 🎂🎈🥳

A year of growth, surrender, love, and learning to truly live.

This year wasn’t about doing more, it was about being present. Loving my husband well. Soaking up every moment with my kids. Building a home filled with intention. Learning new skills. Caring for our little homestead. Baking bread, tending chickens, growing food, and finding joy in the simple rhythms of everyday life.

Most importantly, it was a year of surrendering my plans and trusting God’s.

There were challenges, lessons, unexpected blessings, and so many moments that reminded me how beautiful an ordinary life can be when it’s lived with gratitude.

As I close the chapter on 38, my heart is full. Full of memories, growth, and thankfulness for every step that brought me here.

Cheers to 39, I can’t write see what she brings! 🥂

Our power was out for 14 hours.

We were fine.

Not because we knew when it would come back on… but because we had a plan.

A stocked pantry and emergency food supply might seem unnecessary—until the day you need it.

Being prepared isn’t extreme. It’s practical.

Thanks to 4Patriots, we’ve been able to build a food reserve that gives our family a little extra peace of mind when the unexpected happens.

A little Bee 🐝 Hive Update….

The Bees are here to stay and we can’t be happier…..

They have been busy pollinating our garden, fruit trees, and flowers. I hope they stick around for the long haul and make some honey.

A new swarm of bees was definitely not on my June bingo card. 🐝

After losing our colony last year, our Flow Hive has been sitting empty in the backyard. Over the last few days, I noticed a few scout or what I like to call “imposter” bees flying in and out, checking things out, but I didn’t think much of it.

Then last night while I was watering the garden, it happened.

Out of nowhere, thousands of bees flooded into our yard. Within minutes, an entire swarm moved into the empty hive, Queen and all.

Apparently, they decided our vacant beehive was the perfect new home.

Nature is wild sometimes. One minute I’m watering tomatoes, the next I’m watching a colony of bees move in right before my eyes.

Now we wait and see if they decide to stay. 🍯🐝
