PART ll // long-distance relationship tips ft. an oldie but a favourite candid from our first time in Sacramento last year. Scroll now or save this post for later. Sending you all warm virtual hugs and kisses on this gorgeous Sunday afternoon.
-Celebrate the small gains. We began celebrating month-iversaries because it gave us uninterrupted time with one another to celebrate even the smallest gains. Whether it was an extra long video call, or having dinner “together”, the little gains felt like big accomplishments. And they were!
-Prioritize each other. Every. Damn. Day.
-Do things “together”. Sounds impossible when you’re not physically together, but it’s not. Watching the same movie over the weekend, cooking and eating together over Skype, or simply going for a walk together while chatting on the phone are easy activities you can do “together” to help normalize the situation. Get creative and cater these activities for your relationship!
-Practice self-love. It’s difficult to love someone when you don’t love yourself. Commit to wholehearted, unconditional self-love and self-acceptance. DM/email me if you need a guiding hand on your journey. You’re worth it.
