Holistic Heels

Holistic Heels Holistic nutritional practitioner specialized in:

*Disordered eating

*Low energy/fatigue

*Sleep h My goal with holistic heels is to redefine health.

I'm a former international fashion model turned holistic nutritional practitioner. I strongly believe that health is much more than the absence of disease; true health exists when nutrition is combined with authentic self-love, integrating all four bodies (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) to create harmony and allow growth to become the best possible version of YOU. Whether you're a fas

hion model struggling to practice unconditional self-love in a tough industry, a middle-aged working professional looking for stress management techniques, or a university student looking for tasty ways to swap beer for protein smoothies, I can help.

PART ll // long-distance relationship tips ft. an oldie but a favourite candid from our first time in Sacramento last year. Scroll now or save this post for later. Sending you all warm virtual hugs and kisses on this gorgeous Sunday afternoon.

-Celebrate the small gains. We began celebrating month-iversaries because it gave us uninterrupted time with one another to celebrate even the smallest gains. Whether it was an extra long video call, or having dinner “together”, the little gains felt like big accomplishments. And they were!
-Prioritize each other. Every. Damn. Day.
-Do things “together”. Sounds impossible when you’re not physically together, but it’s not. Watching the same movie over the weekend, cooking and eating together over Skype, or simply going for a walk together while chatting on the phone are easy activities you can do “together” to help normalize the situation. Get creative and cater these activities for your relationship!
-Practice self-love. It’s difficult to love someone when you don’t love yourself. Commit to wholehearted, unconditional self-love and self-acceptance. DM/email me if you need a guiding hand on your journey. You’re worth it.

I rarely post pictures of this absolute gem of a human, but because I frequently get questions about long distance relationships from my clients who are modeling abroad, I decided to compile a list of tried and true tips to keep your relationship vibin’ and thriving when you’re worlds apart — physically and even mentally. Hope you find these useful and please share any other tips that may have worked for your experienced long-distance relationships. Comment below!👇🏼

Dietary Empowerment 🙌🏼 In my practice, I’m teaching people how to eat (and add supplements when needed) while integrating self-love practices — but more importantly, I’m teaching the WHY. That way, you’re in the driver’s seat and feel empowered to make decisions that FEEL good for you! Dietary disempowerment is handing over a quick fix and offering no explanation. Which seat do you want to take?

I’m taking on new clients. DM me for more info.

PART ll CONT’D. // Seeing as how I have some new friends on the gram, I’d love to share 10 things you might not know about me:

6. When I was a teen, it took me months to convince my mom to get my bellybutton pierced. My body began rejecting the piercing soon after, and eventually it fell out on its own. The body has a way of speaking and showing you signs of discomfort — if you listen.
7. One of my first times snowboarding was in the Swiss Alps. It sure was memorable…we got caught in an ice storm, I was “taught” by getting pushed down a rather steep hill and collided boards with my friend which ended up giving her a slight concussion. I haven’t boarded since.
8. My ideal weekend would look like a bike ride around the seawall before the city wakes up, followed by a picnic by the water. Post picnic, I’d head out for a short hike with a view where I’d hang my hammock at the top and watch the sunset while sipping Lambrusco. Pretty much sums up the last 5 months…
9. I developed disordered eating and body dysmorphia during my modeling career. I embarked on a 3 year journey to complete my diploma in holistic nutrition and gained the title of Nutritional Practitioner. Along the way, I taught myself a lot about self-love and self-compassion to go hand in hand with holistic nutrition. The day I started Holistic Heels was the day I vowed to help each and every soul silently suffering from the comparison game, body image issues, self-love and self-doubt, and nutritional deficiencies. 💚I’m currently seeing clients in person and over Zoom. DM me if you’d like to chat. You’re not alone.💚
10. Both outfit pieces in this photo taken by are pre-loved. I always looked up to my mom; she always had a way of making gorgeous outfits out of random pre-loved pieces. Her magic definitely rubbed off on me because 90% of what I now own is pre-loved. And so to share my passion, I recently started , an online shop with curated pre-loved accessories. Hope you take a peak!

Tell me about you; drop a fun fact below!

PART l // Seeing as how I have some new friends on the ‘gram, I’d love to share 10 things you might not know about me:

1. I was born in Bucharest, Romania and moved to beautiful British Columbia at the age of 5. I got the travel bug early on and essentially lived out of a suitcase between the ages of 19-26 while modelling. I lived in places like Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, and Singapore before moving back to Canada in 2016. I’m so incredibly grateful to call such a lush, safe, and open-minded country my home. 🇨🇦
2. At the age of 18, I worked a summer job with 4 of my best friends at a local burger joint overlooking the water in Deep Cove. It was a happening spot during summer concerts. One lunch rush when I was working the cash register, we got about 50 motorcyclists at once that wanted double burger combos. I got an instant nosebleed when I saw the line of hungry bellies — and got put on ice cream duty for the rest of the summer. 🍦
3. My bf and I lost a flight from Istanbul to Vienna by an entire 24 hours. Long story short: make sure to note the date change if your flight is after 12am…😬
4. In the recent years I’ve taken a major liking to shuffleboard — which is why I threw myself a 25th birthday at the legion. (They have the only shuffleboard that I know of in Vancouver. If anyone knows another spot, pls lmk!)💁🏻‍♀️
5. Even though I post recipes that often feature greens and superfoods, I dabble in bubbly, mochi, and macarons to name a few of my favourite treats. I don’t label my diet and lifestyle and I oftentimes encourage my clients to eat treats and forget about that nagging list of “good and bad” foods. A healthy life is based on what you do consistently, not once in a while.💚

Your turn! What’s one fact that many people don’t know about you?❓

Thx for capturing ME!

“Dear Monday, thanks for having the word "mon" in you. That's french for "mine". In case you weren't aware, Monday, but it makes me think of you more as "my day", & frankly that sounds like a much more promising way to start the week.” Wishing you all a beautiful start to the week. xo

While we self-isolate and quarantine during this unpredictable time, we’re inevitably becoming more connected. More phone calls with loved ones, more video chats with friends, and more compassion for neighbours and even strangers. May we lean into the sacred opportunities to connect with others, and more importantly with ourselves. A few ideas if you’re feeling a little mentally isolated and stuck:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️At home movement to your fave tunes. Move/stretch your body. It holds onto anxiety and stress. Anxiety is energy that hasn’t yet been released. Let it move and circulate until it slowly dissipates.
✔️Self-love practice. What is something that makes you truly and authentically happy that you’ve always wanted to do in the stillness of your own home, but haven’t found the time between the craziness of work/life harmony? A bath? Journalling? Breath work? Meditation? Now is the time.
✔️Happy hour FaceTime/Zoom call with friends while sipping on a sneaky glass of wine or a mocktail spritz
✔️Experiment in the kitchen. Peruse cookbooks. Read those blog posts you’ve bookmarked and use their recipes as rough guidelines. The point is to play, have fun, and perhaps you’ll discover something really delicious that can become a meal-prep staple!

We’re in this together. You’re not alone. Xo
