The Historical Society of Sacred Heart is excited to announce our upcoming historic tour to Pipestone on Saturday, September 26!

We’ll spend the day exploring the history and heritage of the Pipestone area, with several interesting stops along the way. It will be a great opportunity to learn something new, see historic places, and enjoy a day together with fellow history enthusiasts and friends.

🎡 What a wonderful County Fair! ❤️💙

The Historical Society of Sacred Heart had a great time being part of the County Fair this year! We enjoyed sharing a little piece of Sacred Heart’s history with everyone who stopped by our booth.

Our display featured historic photographs and documents, treasured memorabilia, clothing, school and community memories, and stories from days gone by. It was especially enjoyable to visit with people, hear their memories, and see the interest in preserving our local heritage.

We truly appreciate everyone who took the time to visit our booth, look through the displays, share a story, or just stop by for a friendly conversation. Your support helps us continue preserving the history and memories that make Sacred Heart such a special community. ❤️

The upcoming SHAHS event, "OPERETTA'S THRU THE YEARS", has been POSTPONED until next spring. Here's a picture from the 1969 operetta directed by Joseph B. Olson, Sacred Heart Public School music director.

The Sacred Heart Museum will be open 1-4pm all five days of the Summerfest, July 15-19 (Wednesday-Sunday) for research and tours. We have several events on Saturday, including our annual Bake Sale 9:30-11:30am at the Sacred Heart Community Center. The Bake Sale will move to the museum at 11:30am. Stay cool and spend the afternoon in the museum. The Legion Auxiliary is serving a salad luncheon 11:30am-1:00pm. Enjoy demonstrations and crafts 1:00-2:30pm.

Join us for a Garden Tea Party at the Sacred Heart Community Center on April 26 (Sunday) 2-4pm. Enjoy Tea-Time Treats and hear Karen Andol, owner of L&E Greenhouse at Mayard, talk about pollinators and plants. Flowers, Plants, Seeds, and Sunhats will be for sale. Sign your ticket to register for the Door Prize.
