The School Based Adaptive Program (SBAP) wrapped up another incredible summer camp!

Summer Camp is about so much more than fun, it’s about continuing to build skills, strengthen friendships, and support families during the summer months. Each day, students practiced communication, self-care, academic, OT/PT, and money-management skills before heading out for adventures at beaches, parks, ECHO, Smuggs Fun Zone, and more! 🎣🏖️

The impact goes beyond the students. Families shared how much their children love coming to camp and how valuable the structure, support, and connections are during the summer. Camp also creates opportunities for families to connect with one another and build their own community.

And none of this would be possible without the incredible energy and dedication of the SBAP staff, who bring enthusiasm, creativity, and heart to every single day.

Our NCSS leadership team recently came together for a great day of learning, connection, collaboration, and a little fun! From engaging presentations and meaningful conversations to team-building activities it was a great day.

We were especially grateful to have Chief Gagne join us for a very informative and meaningful training on Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi Cultural Competency. Thank you, Chief Gagne, for sharing your knowledge and passion with us. We are incredibly appreciative of your time and of the strong partnership we share.

We were excited to attend Age Well’s event last week! It was a great opportunity to connect with members of our community, share information about the resources NCSS offers, and provide free blood pressure screenings with one of our nurses.

Age Well’s “Wonders of Wellness” (WOW) Fair in St. Albans brought older adults together for a summer barbecue, social connection, and access to local wellness resources. The event featured community organizations and vendors offering information and services focused on healthy aging, overall well-being, and staying connected. It’s a great example of combining food, fun, and meaningful community resources into an engaging wellness event.

Happy National Wellness Month!

At NCSS, we believe wellness isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we actively support and celebrate.

Here’s a little glimpse back at our 2025 Wellness Fair, where our staff came together to learn, connect, recharge, and explore ways to support their own well-being.

And we’re doing it again! Our 2026 Wellness Fair is coming up toward the end of August, and we can’t wait to bring our NCSS team together for another day focused on wellness, connection, and taking care of ourselves.

Here’s to making wellness a priority, celebrating the small wins, and finding more ways to feel our best, both at work and beyond!
