Surrogate pregnancy is such a unique kind of love. ๐Ÿค

You can love the baby growing inside of you, care deeply about every kick, every appointment, every milestoneโ€ฆ and still know with complete certainty that this baby was never meant to be yours.

Thatโ€™s one of the things I wish more people understood about surrogacy.

The attachment is different โ€” but the responsibility is enormous.

For nine months, youโ€™re trusted with someone elseโ€™s most precious dream. You change your routines. You go to the appointments. You take the medications. You worry about the little things. You celebrate the good scans and hold your breath through the scary moments.

And eventually, you walk into a birth room knowing that one of the biggest moments of someone elseโ€™s life is about to happen through your body.

Then comes my favorite part.

Watching parents meet their baby.

Watching the person you carried for months finally be placed into the arms they were always meant for.

There is something incredibly powerful about being able to say, โ€œI helped you get here.โ€

Iโ€™ve had the privilege of being a surrogate twice, and those journeys changed so much about the way I view pregnancy, birth, infertility, IVF, parenthood, and the incredible trust that exists between a surrogate and intended parents.

Surrogacy isnโ€™t โ€œgiving a baby away.โ€

Itโ€™s carrying a baby with the intention of giving them back to the people who have been waiting for them all along.

And there is so much beauty in that.

More birth photography to come next year. ๐Ÿฉต Itโ€™s truly my happy place.

Hi, Iโ€™m Haley.

Iโ€™m a birth worker, doula, photographer, educator, mama, and two-time surrogate with a really big love for all things pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.

My work has grown into so much more than simply โ€œbeing a doula.โ€ I support families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and all of the beautiful, messy, tender moments in between.

I offer birth doula support, postpartum and overnight care, childbirth preparation and education, and professional birth, maternity, newborn, and motherhood photography.

Birth has shaped so much of who I am, both personally and professionally. Every family I support teaches me something, and every birth Iโ€™m invited into is a space I never take for granted.

I have an especially deep passion for breech birth and the education surrounding it. One of my biggest goals is to help shift the way breech birth is viewed and supported within our community. I hope to see a future where breech presentation doesnโ€™t automatically mean fear or a lack of options, and where families have access to knowledgeable providers, evidence-based education, informed choice, and truly supportive care. I want to be part of bringing that knowledge, confidence, and skill back into the birth space.

Iโ€™m continuing my education with the long-term goal of becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. My dream is to one day care for families through pregnancy and birth as their midwife, while continuing to advocate for physiologic birth, informed decision-making, and greater education and support surrounding breech birth.

Until then, Iโ€™ll keep learning, supporting, educating, advocating, documenting, and loving families through some of the biggest moments of their lives.

This work has my whole heart, and Iโ€™m so excited for everything still ahead.

Meet our primary backup Doula, Savannah!

With a heart for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the tender transition into parenthood, she brings both professional healthcare experience and a deeply personal understanding of the birth journey to every family she serves.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a doula with two years of experience, she has developed a strong foundation in compassionate, hands-on care. She is currently working toward her CAPPA doula certification and hopes to continue her education with the ultimate goal of becoming a midwife.

Her experience with birth extends beyond her professional work. She has also been a surrogate, giving her a unique understanding of IVF, surrogacy, intended parents, and the many emotions that can accompany building a family through assisted reproduction. She understands that every path to parenthood looks different and believes each family deserves to feel respected, informed, heard, and genuinely supported.

She is knowledgeable in labor and birth support, postpartum care, childbirth education, and newborn education, and she loves helping parents feel more confident as they prepare for birth and life with their new baby. She is also a trained birth Photographer with the ability to both support and photograph your most precious moments. Whether she is providing comfort measures during labor, answering questions, helping families prepare for the postpartum period, or teaching newborn basics, her goal is to create a calm and reassuring presence.

Outside of birth work, her most treasured role is being mama to her 2ยฝ-year-old little girl, who is truly the center of her world.

She considers it an incredible privilege to be invited into such an intimate and transformative season of a familyโ€™s life and canโ€™t wait to be a part of your birth team!

There are moments in birth that are loudโ€”the first cry, the first breath, the moment a baby is finally placed into waiting arms.

And then there are moments like these.

Quiet. Intense. Sacred.

A mother lying beneath the bright lights, surrounded by a team working carefully on one side of the curtain, while someone who loves her sits beside her on the other. A hand held. A forehead touched. A thousand emotions passing through a room without a single word being spoken.

Birth does not have to look a certain way to be powerful.

Sometimes birth happens in water, sometimes at home, sometimes surrounded by midwivesโ€”and sometimes it happens beneath operating-room lights, with monitors beeping and an entire surgical team standing nearby.

But the story is still hers.

These are the photographs that remind me why documenting birth matters so deeply. Not because every moment is traditionally โ€œbeautiful,โ€ but because every moment is real.

The anticipation.
The vulnerability.
The strength.
The support.
The people quietly doing their jobs while a familyโ€™s entire world is changing.

One day, the details of this room may become blurry. The lights, the sounds, the faces behind masks, the hand that never left hers.

But sheโ€™ll have these.

Proof that even in one of her most vulnerable moments, she was surrounded. She was supported. She was incredibly strong.

And somewhere in the middle of all that beautiful chaos, a new life entered the world. ๐Ÿค

This is birth photography.

Not just photographing a baby being bornโ€”but preserving the story of how a family was born, too.
