Birth doesnβt always follow the plan.
Sometimes itβs calm and steady, just like you imagined.
And sometimes⦠it shifts. Quickly. Unexpectedly. In ways no one prepared your heart for.
Sometimes we can do all the planning, prep work, hire the doula, take the classes, and still end up in the space we least expected with outcomes less than favorable.
That doesnβt mean you failed.
That doesnβt mean your body failed.
That doesnβt mean your strength wasnβt enough.
It means birth is powerful, unpredictable, and deeply human.
There are moments in birth that feel loud and overwhelmingβ¦
and there are moments that feel painfully quietβ
sterile rooms, heavy silence, the weight of decisions you never thought youβd have to make.
If your story holds one of those momentsβ
a pivot, a loss, an intervention you didnβt want, or an outcome that changed everythingβ
your experience matters.
It deserves to be acknowledged, not brushed aside.
It deserves space, not comparison.
It deserves compassion, not explanation.
As your doula just know, in those silent cold rooms, when your whole world is collapsing, I see you, I am with you and you are heard and loved.
Not just in the births that go βright,β
but especially in the ones that donβt.
I will sit with you in the unknown.
I will ground you when everything feels like itβs unraveling.
I will witness your storyβevery part of itβwith care and without judgment.
Because even when birth goes sidewaysβ¦
you are still worthy of support, dignity, and deep, unwavering love.
