FAQ: Webster Technique
🌱Is it safe during pregnancy?
Yes. When performed by a certified practitioner, it is gentle, non-invasive, and designed specifically for pregnant bodies.
🌱What does it feel like?
Gentle: soft tissue work + specific pelvic adjustment; not forceful or twisting.
🌱When should I start?
Early prenatal visits are optimal, but it can be beneficial at any stage of pregnancy.
🌱Do you flip babies?
No, this is outside a DC's scope of practice. We provide gentle adjustments for mom that lessen intrauterine constraint (which can prevent a baby from moving into the head-down position).
Dr. Austin uses the Webster Technique to balance pelvic muscles and ligaments, and this in turn helps to optimize the baby's space and movement capabilities. The goal is to create an environment where the baby can more easily move to vertex position on its own.
He also provides personalized adjustments outside of this specific technique to help you feel better and move well while you prepare for birth.
