Your sleeping position can affect more than your comfort. đź’¤

As a new mom, you may find yourself sleeping in whatever position lets you get a few precious hours of rest—but the way you position your body can influence how much pressure and tension your pelvic floor experiences.

If you’re sleeping curled up, constantly holding your baby, or waking up with pelvic pressure, tension, or discomfort, it may be worth paying attention to how your body is positioned.

Your pelvic floor is part of your core—and it works together with your diaphragm, abdominal muscles, hips, and spine. Supporting your body with pillows and finding a comfortable, supported position can help reduce unnecessary tension while you rest.

And remember: pelvic floor care doesn’t stop when pregnancy ends. Your body deserves support during postpartum recovery, too. 🤍

If you’re experiencing leaking, pelvic pressure, pain, heaviness, or discomfort, a pelvic floor physical therapist can help you understand what’s going on and create a plan tailored to your body.

Some of the most meaningful words I hear don’t come during a session—they come afterward. 🤍

Reading stories like Amy’s is a reminder of why I do what I do.

Pelvic floor symptoms are often dismissed as something you “just have to live with,” especially after pregnancy or surgery. But the truth is, you deserve answers. You deserve to be heard. And you deserve a plan that’s tailored to *you*.

Thank you, Amy, for trusting me with your care and for sharing your experience. Knowing you feel stronger, more confident, and better equipped for this next chapter is the greatest compliment I could receive.

If you’ve been dealing with pelvic pain, bladder concerns, postpartum changes, or symptoms you’ve been told are “normal,” know that you don’t have to navigate them alone. There is hope, and healing is possible.

Thank you, Amy, for your kind words and recommendation. It has truly been an honor to be part of your journey. 🩵

Most people don’t realize they’re doing at least one of these things every single day.

Your pelvic floor works around the clock, but we rarely think about it until something feels “off.”

Small habits—like staying hydrated, avoiding straining during bowel movements, relaxing tense muscles, and taking a few deep belly breaths—can help support your pelvic floor health over time.

✨ Your body is talking to you. These simple reminders are a great place to start listening.

Save this post as your daily checklist, and share it with a friend, sister, mom, or coworker. There’s a good chance they’ll thank you for it.

💙 If you’re experiencing pelvic pain, leaking, painful intimacy, constipation, pregnancy or postpartum concerns, or just don’t feel like yourself, pelvic floor physical therapy can help.

📍Empower Women Health & Wellness proudly serves women in St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, South Elgin, Elburn, and the Fox Valley with one-on-one pelvic floor physical therapy.

Putting off pelvic floor physical therapy because you’re unsure what to expect? You’re in good company.

Many women tell me they felt nervous before their first appointment—but almost all of them say the same thing afterward: “I wish I had done this sooner.”

Pelvic floor therapy is about understanding what’s happening in your body and creating a treatment plan that’s personalized to your goals. Whether you’re experiencing bladder leakage, pelvic heaviness, postpartum changes, painful in*******se, constipation, low back pain, or core weakness, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable space where you can ask questions, feel heard, and get answers without embarrassment or judgment.

Just because pelvic floor symptoms are common doesn’t mean they’re something you have to accept as your “new normal.”

✨ Feel stronger from the inside out.
✨ Improve bladder and bowel control.
✨ Move with more confidence.
✨ Get back to the activities you love.

If you’ve been wondering whether pelvic floor physical therapy is right for you, consider this your reminder that it’s okay to take the first step.

📩 Send me a message or schedule an evaluation online. I’d love to help you feel more confident in your body.

National Self-Care Month may be coming to an end... but your self-care shouldn’t. 🩵

Jackson is here with an important reminder: taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s an investment in your health.

One of the most overlooked forms of self-care? Pelvic floor therapy.

Whether you’re experiencing pelvic pain, bladder leakage, pregnancy or postpartum changes, painful intimacy, or core weakness, you don’t have to live with it. Caring for your pelvic health is caring for your whole body.

As July comes to a close, make yourself a priority. Your future self will thank you.

🩵Self-care isn’t selfish. Sometimes, it starts with scheduling the appointment you’ve been putting off.

👩‍💻 Ready to take the first step? I’d love to help.

Postpartum changes everything.

Your body, your emotions, your identity, your routines... and yet so many women are expected to “bounce back” while quietly carrying the weight of it all.

The truth is, postpartum is one of the most vulnerable seasons in a woman’s life. It’s a time when support, compassion, and care matter more than ever.

If you’re a new mom, I hope you know this: you deserve to be cared for, too. Your healing matters. Your pain is valid. Your questions are welcome. And you don’t have to navigate this chapter alone.

Let’s normalize supporting mothers just as much as we celebrate babies. 🩵

If someone you love is in their postpartum journey, share this with them as a reminder that they’re seen, they’re supported, and they deserve care.
