Meet John! 🌟 John has been a dedicated Stonerise Hospice volunteer for 7 years, helping with a little bit of everything as a versatile volunteer. Whether he's playing music, assisting with event setup, or supporting our team behind the scenes, John is always willing to lend a hand. One of the biggest misconceptions about grief is believing there is a "right" timeline for healing.

The truth is grief is deeply personal. Some days may feel easier than others, and emotions can resurface unexpectedly, even years later. That's not a setback. It's a natural part of the journey.

Grief doesn't follow a timeline, and no one should have to walk through it alone.

At Stonerise Hospice, our support extends beyond the loss of a loved one. Through 13 months of bereavement support, including calls, visits, mailings, community grief groups, and our annual Celebration of Life memorial service, we're here to provide comfort, connection, and care every step of the way.

We are proud to shine a spotlight on one of our volunteers, Makayla! ✨

Makayla has been volunteering with Stonerise Hospice for the past year and has become an invaluable part of our team. Whether she's assisting with administrative tasks, helping at community events, or spending time with patients, she always has a positive attitude and a caring heart.

As she prepares to begin her senior year, Makayla balances an incredibly busy schedule. In addition to volunteering, she works a part-time job, is an active member of her school's cross country and track teams, and is working hard toward her goal of graduating with honors.

Thank you, Makayla, for all that you do! We are grateful for your commitment and proud to have you as part of the Stonerise Hospice family. 💛
