The urge to self harm can come in waves. How do we get through it? We ride the wave! Not by self harming, but by distracting our brains until the urge passes.

There are safe things you can do to trick your mind into releasing the same chemicals in your brain that self harming would release. The list below are activities that can safely help the urge pass.
