What kind of difference can we make by treating venous disease & properly managing wounds? For this sweet patient, ALL THE DIFFERENCE! Venous disease causes circulation issues & inflammation which is not conducive to wound healing. By treating her venous insufficiency and managing her wound she has drastically changed the course of her health.
We are grateful we were able to help her achieve healthier legs for a healthier life!

Have you met Dr George yet?

Dr Zachary George specializes in cardiology and interventional cardiology. He attended Indiana University School of Medicine and graduated in the top 10% of his class! During his internship and residency of internal medicine & general cardiology, Dr George served as the chief fellow of cardiology. He completed a coronary and peripheral intervention fellowship and is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine & Interventional Cardiology.

Dr George medically and procedurally manages peripheral arterial disease through minimally invasive outpatient procedures. He helps patients with leg pain, diabetic ulcers or non-healing wounds, acute DVTs and pulmonary embolisms. Dr George teaches his patients how to manage their arterial disease long term and achieve optimal health through medication and lifestyle management.

Here’s a clue: Venous Insufficiency presents with what we call reflux or reverse flow. Because of this, inflammation causes symptoms like pain, aching, heaviness and fatigue.
While it may not be obvious on the outside, ultrasound diagnosis and a review of symptoms help us diagnose venous insufficiency.
