How does platelet-rich plasma work?

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, uses a concentrated portion of a patient’s own blood to support the body’s natural healing response. It may be considered for certain types of arthritis, joint pain, tendon injuries, tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis.
