Recently, we gathered our teams from Adventist Health St. Helena and Adventist Health Vallejo, for one of our most cherished traditions as a team -- our Annual Associate Service Awards, honoring our associates for their many years of dedication to caring for our community.

The afternoon was filled with gratitude as we celebrated an incredible milestone — more than 1,600 years of combined service! This remarkable achievement reflects not only the strength of our mission but also the culture of care and sense of dedication our team has for this community.

We recognized milestone anniversaries from 5 to 45 years of service in an afternoon filled with inspiration, laughter, and heartfelt stories.

Among the many highlights was Karen Begley who has dedicated 45 years to Adventist Health St. Helena. Her story carries a special resonance — her father helped build a portion of St. Helena hospital years ago, and she has spent her career carrying that legacy forward in her own right. What an amazing story of dedication and legacy.

Each milestone represents years of compassion, excellence, and unwavering dedication to caring for others.

Thank you to our team! Thank you for choosing us to dedicate your career to and thank you for being part of our family. Here’s to many more years of caring for our community!

Please join us in saying thank you and congratulations to our service awardees!

We're excited to celebrate another exceptional nurse as our DAISY Awardee. Rancy Robin Celeste was nominated by a patient, noting his kindness and patience.

The patient writes:

"I really want to thank Rancy for his kindness and sincere empathy to both me and my husband who was very worried. He kept things light and he really heard what was needed. He was on it the whole shift. He was training a new person and was very patient with her. I observed that he seemed really detailed.

He had great conversations with me as he worked on me. It sure kept my mind in a good place. He truly is an asset to the hospital.

He is sincere, patient, kind and funny. He definitely is the perfect nurse, I would hope he is to be recognized. My experience as a whole was fantastic, but not one that I would like to repeat. He has a good sense of humor and sincerity. Just wonderful. No complaints, my husband had good conversations with him also."

Congratulations, Rancy! Join us in congratulating Rancy for this well-deserved recognition.

The DAISY Award is an international program by the DAISY Foundation that recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary compassion and skillful care given by nurses every day.
