DRO's Leadership series (aka PIP) is a free, nationally recognized leadership and advocacy training for self-advocates (18+), parents of children with disabilities, and adult siblings. One weekend a month for eight months, you'll dig into the history of the disability rights movement, inclusive education, independent living, customized employment, community organizing, and how the legislative process actually works.

Past participants have gone on to shape policy, run for office, change how schools serve kids, and build more inclusive communities across Oregon.

If you're ready to help protect independence and life-saving services for Oregonians with disabilities, we want to hear from you.

📣 Advocate Access NW is hiring a Facility Care Advocate!
We are excited to add this new part-time position to our team! Our Facility Care Advocate will play an important role in keeping our office and outdoor spaces clean, safe, organized, sanitary, and welcoming for our Members, employees, families, community partners, and visitors. 🩵
This position may be a great fit for someone who:
✨ Takes pride in creating clean and welcoming spaces
✨ Is dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
✨ Can work independently with minimal supervision (Job Coaching Supports Welcomed!)
✨ Is comfortable completing routine indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks
✨ Notices safety concerns, maintenance needs, and supply shortages
Position details:
• Up to 10 hours per week
• Flexible schedule to be negotiated
• $18 to $24 per hour, depending on experience
• 401(k) retirement plan with matching up to 3.5%
• Accrued paid time off, including personal leave and protected sick leave
• Supportive and collaborative work environment
Prior janitorial, housekeeping, facility care, or related experience is preferred.
This is more than keeping a building clean. It is helping create a space where humans feel comfortable, respected, and welcomed from the moment they arrive. ✨
