Samuel L. Weller ‘Sam’, 87, of Bonita, Texas found his place in heaven on Sunday, August 16, 2026 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a man who measured his life not in accomplishments, but in relationships: the grandchildren who rode on his shoulders, the friends who showed up to pray and talk with him, the neighbors who knew he would always stop to help.
Sam was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Rev. Samuel D. Weller and Nona Leon Weller (nee. Teagarden) on June 11, 1939. He attended school in Lexington, Nebraska, graduating in 1957. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. The military led him to Texas, and Texas led to the love of his life. He married Carol Ann Weller (nee. Cope) on October 21, 1961. They were ready to celebrate their 65th anniversary this coming October.
He spent his working years as an engineer for Texas Instruments. But those who knew him best remember him most for his quirky sense of humor, and the way he could make any room feel like a kitchen table, and any stranger feel like family. He had a quick wit and a wry smile that could make anyone laugh.
He was a faithful servant of God; his Baptist faith was an important part of who he was. Sam rarely missed an opportunity to join his church family any time the door was open. He had a rare ability to leave a lasting impression on anyone who had the good fortune of meeting, knowing, and loving him. His love will live on though his son and daughter, his grandchildren, his family, and all those whose lives he touched.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jackie Rae Weller, and his brother Ronald D. Weller.
He is survived by his wife: Carol Ann Weller of Bonita, Texas; son: Jeffrey L. Weller and wife Kimberly of San Antonio, Texas; daughter: Cristen C. Miller and husband David of Dorset, Ohio; grandchildren: Branden Miller, Kiley Krueger, Mikayla Smith, Dylan Weller, Andrew Hanna, and Rebecca Miller; and one very special great grandson: Camden Smith.
Sam was a father figure to all he met. He leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and family friends. One nephew, Cody ‘Buck’ Thompson spent many summers at the farm, visiting, fishing, and exploring with Sam. Their time together was treasured by both.
Visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home in Saint Jo, Texas on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM. His funeral will be held at First Baptist Church of Saint Jo on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM.

She was born on October 19, 1956 in Manhattan, Kansas to James Leander and Pauline Elizabeth (Schmidt) Schaller. She married Andre Scott Fortin on October 6, 2007 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville, Maryland. The two made their home in Muenster in 2023.
Jeniece was a generous, caring and talented soul who truly dedicated her life to God. She found good friends wherever she went. Jeniece and her husband have been very blessed by being in a wonderful parish faith community that welcomed them so warmly. She made her husband a better person and he will miss being together with Jeniece for afternoon swims, dinner party with friends, trips to their little house in Oklahoma and being frequently called “sugar plum”.
She is survived by her husband: Andre Fortin of Muenster; brothers: Bruce and wife Josie Schaller, David and wife Lynn Schaller, and Kennethe and wife Tandy Schaller; sister: Brenda and husband Doss Nea; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Jeniece was preceded in death by her parents: James and Pauline Schaller; and brother: Douglas Schaller.

Mass of Christian Burial for Dale Joseph Klement, age 78, of Muenster, was held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A rosary was held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Dale was born on April 24, 1948, to Ray and Irene (Sicking) Klement. He married Charlotte Sandmann on July 5, 1969, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay, TX. They were married for 57 years. Dale passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Dale attended Sacred Heart Catholic School until eighth grade, then transferred to Muenster Public School, from which he graduated in 1966. Dale made his way to the University of Texas in Austin to try out as a kicker for the Longhorns football team his freshman year of college. After their marriage, Dale and Charlotte moved to Denton, where Dale completed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Biology at the University of North Texas.
In 1970, Dale and Charlotte moved to Muenster, where Dale worked for Buster Herr at Stockman’s Feed Store. In 1977, Dale and Charlotte bought the dairy from Dale’s parents, Ray and Irene Klement. This is the original farm founded by Dale’s grandparents, John B. and Margaret Klement, in 1908. Dale and Charlotte and their three children worked and operated the dairy until 1986, when Dale sold out and worked at Weber Aircraft for two years. Dale then decided to work with his Dad and Fred Koesler in carpentry. He never lost his love for the dairy, so he began milking again in 1993 and continued that along with carpentry until 1998, when he again sold out. At that time, he decided to raise beef cattle and continue his carpentry work. Dale and his son Cody carpentered together for many years with several co-workers. In the early 2000s, they started Klement Konstruction which Cody now owns and operates. Dale and Cody worked together until Dale’s health started to decline. The last home he helped build was in December 2024.
Along with farm-life activities and raising a family, Dale wore many other hats. His community was very important to him. In 1987, Dale helped establish the cross-country program at Muenster ISD under the leadership of Coach Ted Heers. He announced many Muenster High School football games and ran the clock for basketball games for many years. He also served the school district by serving on the MISD school board for 9 years. Some other positions Dale held were President of Muenster Farm Mutual Company, Deputy Grand Knight (under Dan Hamric), and Grand Knight of the Muenster Knights of Columbus. He also served as delegate of the American Milk Producers, Inc, which allowed him and Charlotte to travel to Chicago for many meetings.
One of Dale’s proudest memories was travelling to Austin in 2013, to receive recognition of the farm as a 100-year old “Century Farm in Texas.”
In addition to his many responsibilities and leadership positions, Dale enjoyed many hobbies. In his younger years, you could find him on the golf course every weekend and at the KC Hall playing dominoes with his dad, uncles, and buddies every week. After retirement, he enjoyed playing sheephead with his friends. He was an avid reader all his life. His many books kept him occupied, especially after his confinement to a wheelchair. He also had a love of gardening and was very proud of his peach and apple trees, the produce of which he shared with many.
Dale is survived by his wife Charlotte of 57 years, son Keith and wife Christine, daughter Tina and husband Kenneth Walterscheid, and son Cody and wife Dana, eleven grandchildren - Caleb, Hannah, Josiah, and Micah Klement, Abby and husband Noah Connolly, Luke, Emma, Katie, and Eli Walterscheid, Lucy and Holly Klement, and one great-grandchild due in Spring 2027. He is also survived by his brothers Lloyd and wife Pat, Lynn and wife Robin, and Lyle and wife Margie, and many nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by daughter Kristie, parents Ray and Irene (Sicking) Klement, Sister Janice and her husband Tony Lamanna, in-laws Julius and Marie Sandmann, and grandchildren lost to miscarriage Mary Catherine Walterscheid, and Isaiah, Isaac, Selah, and Berea Klement.
We will close with reflections from Dale’s eulogy. “Dad’s work here is finished. The fields he tended, the homes he built, and the family he loved remain as evidence of a life well lived. But now he rests in the presence of the greatest Carpenter of all, where there are no more aches and no more weariness” and no more suffering! “
Two things I will leave you with today, as cherished memories, that remind me of my Dad: making some time to work but also relax and enjoy the provisions God has provided (family and God’s creation). “One of his all-time favorite songs was titled: “Love Me”, by Collin Raye, with his favorite line being - ‘If you get there before I do, don’t give up on me. I’ll meet you when my chores are through, I don’t know how long I’ll be….. And between now and then ‘til I see you again, I’ll be loving you, Love Me.”

John Michael Henscheid went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2026, after spending his final days at his home in Muenster, surrounded by loving family and friends.

John was the first child born to Rufus and Elizabeth Betty Bierschenk Henscheid on December 18, 1957, in Muenster. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated in 1976. While in high school, he was active in many organizations, serving as Student Council President and Letterman’s Club Vice President. He played basketball and football and especially excelled in track, earning 2nd place in the mile at the State Track Meet his senior year and being named to the All-District Track Team. He was also named Best Groomed, an attribute he carried into adulthood. Even during his illness, John remained consistently well dressed and made sure he was prepared when Holy Communion was brought to him at home.

John was blessed with three children: Jaclynn Rose in 1982, Darell John in 1986, and Michelle Elizabeth in 1993. He was very proud of his children’s accomplishments in life and frequently reminded them of that. His life’s greatest joy was spending time with his children and seven grandchildren. He loved when his family came over to his house to swim and always kept the freezer stocked with popsicles for his grandchildren, who knew him as Papa John.

John spent most of his career working in the family lumber business at Muenster Building Center. In 1982, he began building homes in Muenster, Lindsay, and Gainesville as co-owner of R & J Contractors. He delivered building materials all over Texas and Oklahoma as part of RJH Trucking Company. In 1990, the lumber business began expanding to Bridgeport, Alvord, Springtown, Celina, and Jacksboro.

John obtained his pilot’s license at age 20 and held licenses in well service and HVAC. In his younger and wilder days, he loved driving his brown 1976 Monte Carlo on the drag and to The Ranch in Muenster. He enjoyed waterskiing, racquetball, snow skiing, roller coasters, and scuba diving. John was an avid college football fan who could recite obscure and detailed facts.

A year before his diagnosis, John returned to the Catholic Church after praying to become closer to God. His faith was instrumental throughout his battle with pancreatic cancer.

John is survived by his children, Jaclynn and husband Eric Fisher of Muenster, Darell and wife Kodie Henscheid of Porter, Texas, and Michelle and husband Sean Clifford of Lindsay; grandchildren, Grayson, Nolan, Julia, Joshua, Zachary, and Charlotte Fisher, and Claire Clifford; parents, Rufus and Elizabeth (Betty) Bierschenk Henscheid of Muenster; siblings, Janet Hess, Gary Henscheid, and Sharon Hermes; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Anna Flusche Henscheid, and maternal grandparents, William and Mary Neu Bierschenk.

Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly Anne (Koelzer) Wilson, age 75, of Muenster will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Beverly was born on January 2nd, 1951, in Gainesville, Texas, to Earl (Smokey)and Beatrice Koelzer. She went to be with the Lord on August 9th, 2026. She was the first of 5 children. She grew up in Muenster and attended Sacred Heart. She graduated from Sacred Heart in 1969 and shortly after moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She spent the next 10 years as a stay-at-home mom, caring for her family. In 1980, she decided to fulfill her calling in nursing and graduated from El Centro College of Nursing in 1982. She began her career as an RN and loved her patients. She furthered her education, receiving her BSN in 1990 from the University of Texas at Arlington. She spent many years as a home health nurse, traveling throughout North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. In the late 90's she decided to pass on the knowledge she had gained in her career and accepted a position at Grayson County College. She spent the rest of her career teaching students. It gave her tremendous pride to help the next generation of nurses fulfill their dreams. She retired from Southern Oklahoma Technical College in Ardmore, Ok.
She married Matthew Wilson in 2006, and eventually they built their home in Muenster. She spent the remaining years volunteering, spending time with Matthew, and getting closer to God. A highlight of her final years was a trip to Israel, where she walked in the same places as her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was dedicated to her faith. She was a lifelong Catholic, finding great peace in the sacraments and traditions of the Church. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband Matthew Wilson of Muenster, her children Wendi Moore and husband Cliff of Angleton, TX; Jeremy Yosten and wife Cory of Saginaw, TX; and Bradley and wife Jessica of Sunset, TX. Step-daughter Marissa Sowers and husband Chris of Kinston, NC; grandchildren Callie Goff, Sierra Moore, Alex Moore, Brooklynn Moore, Bailey Hood, Clayton Yosten, Willow Sowers, EmmaLynn Sowers, and Gabriel Sowers; brothers Earl (Smokey) Koelzer and wife Janet of Thackerville, Ok; Louis Koelzer and wife Evelynn of Montague, Tx; Jimmy (Smoke) Koelzer and wife Carol of Muenster, Tx; sister Molly Sicking and husband Wesley of Muenster, Tx; and her aunt Louise Haverkamp
She was preceded in death by her parents and niece Melanie Koelzer.

Catherine Ann (Moragues) McCorkle, born on January 16, 1968, the oldest daughter of John and Dena Moragues, passed away at the age of 58 on July 19, 2026 at her home.
Catherine married Mark Harper and they welcomed twin daughters, Loriann and Ashley in 1993.
In 2004, Catherine married Tracy McCorkle and gained a stepson, Kacy.
Catherine worked for FEMA for 15 years helping people rebuild their lives. Most recently, she worked for AutoZone in Bowie where she greeted every customer with a smile.
Catherine was a lover of country music. She knew every song and every artist. You could hear her car coming from blocks away because she was rocking to the music.
Catherine was predeceased by her father John Moragues and her sister Jeanine Oberholzer. Catherine is survived by her mother Dena Moragues, children Loriann (Andrew) Hood, Ashley (Tyler) Harris, stepson Kacy (Ashley) McCorkle, sister Jennifer (Kelly) Bayer, brother Deacon Nicholas (Brenda) Moragues, four grandchildren Raine, Lana, Rysand, and Clay McCorkle, and her nieces and nephew.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, August 24, 2026 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay with Deacon Nicholas Moragues officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Pocahontas, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to her children to assist in their travel expenses to Iowa for Catherine’s burial.
